Ashante has watched over my family’s pets (two dogs and a cat) whenever needed for several years now, and at this point I think the animals may be more excited to see her than us! She’s impeccably responsible when it comes to feeding, playing with, and walking our animals according to our set schedule, and she has proven her trustworthiness with our home – even going so far as to occasionally tidy up if things are a bit out of order! One of our dogs has also had cataracts for several years now, and Ashante has been amazing at making sure she still has full access to the things needed for a fulfilling life while we’re away. She even goes out of her way to make sure her food doesn’t get stolen by our bigger (and, admittedly, greedier) dog. Having that much empathy for an animal doesn’t just say something about a job well-done – it says something about a person’s own values and abundant love. They say that animals can make better judgments about a person than other people can, and our dogs are almost inconsolably excited when Ashante walks up to our door. To me, that says more than enough about her.
