Pet care fits naturally into my daily routine. Since my college classes end by 12:30 p.m. most days (and 1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays), I have plenty of free time in the afternoons and evenings for walks, playtime, and check-ins. I enjoy spending that time outdoors, and caring for pets is a great way to do something I love while keeping an active routine. On weekends, I’m typically free all day, which gives me extra flexibility for longer walks or extended care if needed.

Safety, trust & environment
When caring for pets, my top priorities are safety, comfort, and trust. I take time to understand each pet’s routine, personality, and comfort level before jumping into play or walks. In a client’s home, I make sure pets stay in familiar, safe spaces and follow their usual feeding, walking, and rest schedule. I’m attentive to small details — like securely closing doors, double-checking leashes and gates, and keeping water bowls fresh. If I’m walking or visiting, I keep an eye on surroundings at all times and avoid crowded or unsafe areas. I believe that pets pick up on calm energy, so I make sure to create a relaxed, positive environment where they feel comfortable and cared for. My goal is always to make both pets and owners feel at ease knowing everything is handled responsibly and with genuine care.

Information Asha S. would like to know about your pet
Before caring for any pet, I like to know their daily routine, energy level, and any special needs or preferences they might have. For example, if they’re shy around new people, have food sensitivities, or take medication, that helps me give them the best care possible. I also like to know their walking habits (how they do on a leash), favorite toys, and how they interact with other animals. The more I know about a pet’s personality and needs, the better I can make sure they’re happy, safe, and comfortable while you’re away!
A typical day
A typical day with me includes plenty of fresh air and positive energy! I usually finish my college classes by 12:30 p.m. (1:30 p.m. on Tuesdays), which leaves my afternoons wide open for long walks, playtime, and pet care. I start with a check-in and quick cuddle or treat, followed by outdoor walks or backyard playtime. Throughout the day, I make sure pets are fed, comfortable, and get lots of attention so they feel safe and loved while you’re away. I love taking dogs on nature walks or to nearby parks where they can sniff around and stretch their legs. If they’re more playful, we’ll play fetch, tug-of-war, or explore new walking routes together. For calmer pets, I enjoy gentle grooming, short training sessions, or just relaxing together. I grew up with a Blue Tick Hound and later a mutt, so I’m comfortable with both energetic and easygoing dogs — and I always match their vibe!

Pet care experience
I’ve grown up around dogs my whole life. When I was younger, my family had a Blue Tick Hound who taught me a lot about patience, consistency, and the importance of daily exercise. As I got older, I cared for a loving mutt with a completely different personality — more playful, curious, and full of energy. Those experiences helped me learn how to adapt to different temperaments and needs, whether it’s a dog who loves long walks or one who prefers a slower pace. I bring genuine care and attention to every animal I look after. I treat every pet like family — with kindness, structure, and understanding. Because I’ve had both high-energy and gentle dogs, I know how to balance activity with comfort, and I’m always focused on making each pet feel safe, happy, and loved.

Reviews

Asha was so great with my cat! My cat is normally super shy and not really interested in people, but she loved Asha! Would definitely recommend and will be requesting again!

Asha was excellent with my bearded dragon. She was timely, communicative, and as a bonus, took some of the best photos of Thad I have! We’d love to have her back.

Asha is wonderful and always delivers devoted care to our baby💜

Did such a fantastic job! Great and sending updates, always on time and went above and beyond by giving my cats extra love and attention!
