Pet care experience
My love of animals began at 7 years old with Sugar and Spice ( goldfish) , then came Pushkin the enormous black cat for 16 years. In the past 10 years I’ve cared for Luigi the pug, Scruffy the terrier and currently Luna the Havanese comes to stay regularly. They come on holiday for up to 2 weeks, or day care or walks if owners are busy in the day. I have a calm, no children house with a small patio garden (serving as an outside loo when necessary) so those dogs or cats who prefer a quiet life will be happy. I follow owners’ instructions to a T and safety and cosiness is a priority. I live near many parks and the river in central Richmond, so exercise and regular walks are very easy . There are cats and other well behaved dogs in the small cul de sac I live in, and no through traffic . I would prefer small to medium sized well trained dogs as that’s where my experience is.

As someone who has been lucky enough to have Asha look after their dog, I fully recommend Asha to be a pet caregiver. She is reliable, enthusiastic and consistent when it comes to looking after my dog Lolo. I can tell that she always puts Lolo first when she is under Asha's care. She is great at working around my office schedule, and is great at communicating both updates on Lolo, as well as her availability.
Asha has been looking after our Havanese dog, Luna, at her house in central Richmond for a couple of years now when we go on holiday. It is like a home from home for her as she cares for her as if she were her own. Luna goes on plenty of walks, days out and visits (sometimes to the seaside). She also meets up with other dogs so she is thoroughly entertained. Asha is very conscientious about sticking to Luna's routines such as her mid-morning and bedtime treat, as well as only feeding her what we provide and she gets plenty of attention and cuddles. We also get a lot of updates and photos during her stay. Most importantly Luna gets very excited to see her each time. I cannot recommend her highly enough as I trust her implicitly and know that Luna is in good hands whilst we are away so that she is less homesick.

How do they signal need for toilet? Do they like other dogs? Any specific triggers for them? Any special needs or medicines? If an older dog is there a limit on how long they want to be out for? I’d prefer they don’t want to be upstairs or on the bed at night
A typical day
Lots of different walks and routes near me with lots to sniff at and other well behaved local dogs to meet on walks . I also like to visit and walk with friends with the dogs I look after so they get a varied social life! I also like to drive to visit friends occasionally so would need to know if they can tolerate car drives. Play with favourite toys in home but not a lot of room for ball games in the house .

Availability
Currently I’m not working - if I do eventually take on a job I will be working from home and will update availability accordingly. For the medium term I’m available every day I’ve indicated on the calendar and in the home for the dog.
