Pet care experience
I am a patient and attentive dog walker, adaptable to the behavioral modifications that work best for your pup (treats, toys, click training, gentle leader, etc.). I would be happy to take your dog on a mid-day walk (or two!) to relieve some of your workday stress and make sure they're getting plenty of exercise. I work from home (and walk and play with my energetic ten-year-old Border Collie/Labrador mix), so I am available from 9am-5pm weekdays and also available on most weekends. I'm also available for cat care. My family owned cats for the first 20 years of my life, one of which lived to be 19 years old, so any cat from kitten to senior kitty will be well taken care of with me. The areas of Seattle I cover: Lower Queen Anne, Queen Anne Hill, Belltown, South Lake Union, Westlake, Downtown

Arwen is great with both my dogs and my cats. My cats veer from lovable to skittish, but it doesn’t seem to bother Arwen – she cuddles them when it’s a possibility and leaves them to themselves when they get a little wild-eyed. She gets along well with our two dogs, Jasper and Lila, who could not be more different in size and personality. Arwen takes great pictures of the dogs and likes to share them with me after she’s been over for a visit. I would trust her to drop in and check on the dogs and cats anytime!
Arwen took wonderful care of our dog (who sometimes can be a bit of a pain outside), and I would definitely be happy to have Arwen walk our dog again.
Arwen walked our dog, Toby, while we were gone for the day. During our meet and greet Toby took to Arwen right away. Arwen was professional and asked thorough questions to make us feel confident in leaving Toby in her care. She proved to be a responsible dog walker. She was very quick to respond to all our texts. She left pictures and notes on how the day went. Would highly recommend and will definitely use her in the future!
Buddy loves Arwen! She's super sweet, experienced, and professional. I would definitely recommend her to everyone!

Before my first walk or drop-in, I would want to know if your pup is house-trained, if he/she takes any medications, emergency contacts (your work number, vet, etc.), any behavioral issues (e.g., bad reactions to other animals), and anything else you think will help me to keep your pup happy and healthy during our walk or drop-in. For a cat drop-in, I can pet and snuggle them, or for the more feisty, we can play with kitty toys. And of course, I'll give the kitty litter a quick clean-out.
A typical day
I live in lower Queen Anne, so I enjoy walking through Seattle Center Park, as well as down to Myrtle Edwards Park. If your pup likes to run, I also frequent the Kinnear Park off-leash area. Depending on your dog's personality, we can play fetch, practice tricks, snuggle - whatever will use up some of your pup's pent-up energy and help them nap until you get home.
