----- Update May 2023 -------- Hello to my repeat clients! I'm taking a break this summer (starting June - August) and will be unavailable for the most part. If you ask nicely I can maybe fit you in depending on what you need. I'm looking to move to a house this summer and with all that comes a lot of work, so I want to focus on that, plus giving myself a break and enjoying the nice weather. Thanks for understanding! ---------------------------- I've had animals most of my life and worked with them as well. I grew up with the most amazing cats and would dog and cat sit sometimes for friends. I went to school at Argosy University during 2004 - 2007 and got my A.A.S. degree in Veterinary Technology. I've personally owned and cared for cats, a snake, hamsters, gerbils, degus, chinchillas, beta fish, gold fish, green anoles, and frogs. Always had quite the animal collection growing up! I have cared for dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rabbits, rats, mice, ferrets, chickens, turtles, ducks, parakeets, doves, cockatiels, and many more animals when I worked at the Animal Humane Society (in Golden Valley) as an animal technician - cleaning cages and feeding the animals they received. It was a very rewarding job and I got to have many fun experiences working there. I met some very interesting animals and people too! While I don't work there I do currently foster kittens and the occasional small animal through the Animal Humane Society. I am comfortable giving medications to dogs and cats including oral, eye, and ear meds. I can do insulin shots as well. I am also comfortable doing any subcutaneous medications if needed. I am able to feed, water, give medications and clean after your dog, cat, small animal (rabbits, mice, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters, gerbils, etc.), reptile(s), or bird(s), and fish to the best of my ability. I'll provide daily updates to you if needed and will of course try to make friends with your pets if I can! If you have any plants you want watered while you are gone I can manage that as well and bring in your mail, and keep certain lights on in your place if you request. I am currently fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and boosted. At your request I will wear a mask and provide my vaccination card.
