Arleen was a wonderful house sitter. We came home to a very happy dog and content dog.
I hope to be able to book her again.

Amazing! We got daily picture updates on all our fur kiddos and Arleen takes the time to get to know your pets. Our dog is a high energy boy and she took the time for him to know her on our meet and greet beyond what I have experienced with others. We were very impressed with her attention to detail, personality and care for our home and pets while we were away for several days ...

Arleen did great with my girls, I have two medium to large Labs, one who still is basically a puppy, and Arleen was great with them, even teaching Tillie a trick.

Loving, patient, and experienced!

I have lots of experience with all kinds of dogs and I understand that each one is an individual. I tailor my behavior to their personality so that they feel secure and loved. For high energy dogs, we play, walk, run, and allow that energy to be expressed in positive ways. For lower energy dogs, we play, but in a toned down manner. For the anxious or senior dog, I establish a level of trust ...

What Arleen would like to know about your dog

I need to know a little of their history...are they a rescue, have they been with you their entire life etc. Rescues tend to need a slower and more moderated approach. One that's been with you and has only known love and trust, usually adapts pretty quickly to someone new. I would also like to know if they've ever exhibited any aggressive tendencies towards humans or other dogs. That helps me to know how to approach the dog, and also lets me know what types of situations to avoid when he or she is with me.

When Arleen watches your pet

Keeping a dog in a familiar area is good for reducing anxiety, so I keep them in familiar areas and close to home. If they are more easy going, and can sort of go with the flow, I might take them to a nearby park just for a change of smells and experiences.
