Pet care experience
I have been taking care of animals for years. Most recently, I worked at an animal shelter for over a year doing direct care for various breeds of cats and dogs with different temperaments. I always approach every animal with love and patience. Through my experience, I have developed extreme attention to detail for these precious animals and will always view each animal with the same love and level of care as if they were my own pet. I have experience with nail trims and administering medicines, my dog had diabetes, and I had to give her insulin shots twice a day. Through my animal care professions, I have had to provide oral and topical medications and give medicated shampoo treatments.

Arissa is wonderful with my pup!
Arissa was absolutely, positively wonderful with our cat while we took a trip for a few days away. Her pictures and updates made us so happy, and we could tell our cat had become so comfortable with her so quickly. We can't wait to book her again!!
Arissa was a fantastic dog walker for my boy Frank! Despite puppies being a handful sometimes, she was patient and caring with him, and even worked on some of the tricks/commands he's been learning (really has "roll over" down now! ). Despite the fact she had a busy schedule, she made time for our meet and greet and was able to care for him on short notice. I will 100% be reaching out to her again, and I'd recommend anyone else do the same. Your furry family member will be in good hands!
Arissa is attentive, kind, respectful, professional and very sweet to my baby Sophie. Her photos are always so precious and her notes are very detailed. It's nice to know you can have someone to trust when you're away and she is so supportive. My pup and I are very blessed to have found her.

I love structure and think all animals benefit from this. I would love to do more than just a quick stop by to help provide an enriching and stimulating time with the animal. And for those who have a more challenging time with separation or need extra snuggles, I strive to provide a safe and loving environment to help them deal with the stress of not having their person or people with them. I've been known to let the dogs lick me all over my face if they want to, so I hope they can see they can trust me!

Please let me know if your pet has any food allergies or dietary restrictions and if they have any particular medication to be given. How is their temperament typically? Any signs of illness I should be monitoring (vomiting, diarrhea, sneezing, coughing, etc.) How is your pet's behavior with meeting new people, and how are they with other dogs on walks they may pass? Please inform me of any behavior they have that I should be alerted to in order to make sure they have the best experience possible!
A typical day
I love to stimulate and create enriching experiences for animals. I love to play games. A favorite of mine that I play with an energetic dog is 2-toy fetch. Lot of sniffy time for cats and dogs with treat hunts. For my lovely feline friends, I have a nifty laser pointer with all types of features, and a good play session with cat toys is always great. Also, if they show interest, a nice video of birds flying around is great way to stimulate their senses. And above all, lots of cuddles if they want them! During walks switching up where you go from time to time is SUPER enriching. Taking in all those different smells is great for pups, so we can we can get around the neighborhood and try out new routes!

I am currently taking classes in animal care, so I have plenty of time to take care of and give plenty of love to your animals! I know it can be a stressful time for not only owners but the animals themselves to be separated, so it is essential to be there for them as much as needed.
