Arii G. cancelled a booking 4 days before it was scheduled to begin.

There aren’t enough words to describe how great Arii is. She came through for us last minute in an emergency when another sitter didn’t show. We had another sitter booked for a 10 day trip but on the day we left she was non-responsive, leaving me in a total panic as I boarded a 7.5hr flight. I reached out to Arii on Rover since she’d been at the top of my list prior to booking the other sitter, but she was unavailable for the first couple days of our trip due to another pet sit. Once she heard the situation she immediately got on a call with me and began strategizing and reaching out to other sitters she trusted to come that night and stay with our dogs until she was available 2 days later. The entire situation was so stressful and scary. Arii immediately made herself available and showed genuine care and concern for our dogs’ wellbeing, going beyond out of her way to make sure someone was there for them. To further complicate matters, one of our two dogs is a special needs, highly anxious rescue who takes a lot of time to warm up and requires an experienced and extremely patient sitter. Due to this, I am very thorough with my vetting process when I book sitters, and I’m very honest that we need someone who can be available full time in our home as our rescue dog gets comfortable and establishes trust. It was clear from Arii’s profile that she could be a good fit for these special needs, but of course we hadn’t done an initial meet and greet since she was originally booked for the first 2 days of our trip. But as we set up our last minute pet sit, Arii made herself available for multiple conversations and I was able to convey all the very specific care information regarding our dog’s special needs. I also sent our very lengthy, novel-sized pet care document for her to review, and it was clear she took her time to read every last bit. Arii met and exceeded all expectations in her care for both dogs, but especially our needy rescue pup. She had become so disregulated from the situation with the other sitter, and the stream of neighbors and multiple people in and out of the house to help, that she refused to even come inside from the back yard. Arii loved her anyways, and helped her through what was easily the toughest pet sit we’ve ever had. She maintained an increased medication schedule that required dosing every 6 hours, which obviously made sleep tough. She even slept on the couch rather than upstairs in a bed because she wanted to be closer to where our rescue was sleeping out on the patio. Arii was consistently kind and patient throughout this extremely challenging and stressful pet sit. I’m so fortunate to have connected with her in this crazy emergency situation, and I’m beyond grateful for the excellent and selfless care she provided for our dogs. Don’t hesitate to book Arii! She’s easily the best sitter we’ve ever had, and your pets will be so lucky to have her!!!
