Hello, my name is Arielle! I live in a house in Arcata with my dog Kumiko and 1 housemate. We both love dogs and like the opportunity to watch any when we can. My housemate has watched a few of her friends' dogs so if I am at work, know that your dog will still be in good hands. Kumiko is a 1-year-old border collie mix who loves other dogs. She is very high energy and keeps me active. I have a park near my house for short playtime, but when I want her to get the full exercise I will take her on long hikes or run her at the beach. She does well off-leash and is rarely on one. However, if your dog is not that great off-leash, she is also good staying leashed and walking near me. She loves making new friends and being able to socialize her would be so beneficial for us. I work in a cafe, but she does well at home alone. There have been some separation issues, so hoping another dog will calm her. I will make sure your pup or pups are fully taken care of. Watching dogs is one of my favorite hobbies! I respond quickly and am very okay with doing "meets and greets" so you know exactly who you are going to be working with and you're comfortable with me! :) Why I love dog sitting I have been a dog lover since I was a kid and I was too allergic to cats. My uncle had a golden retriever named King and a Rottweiler named Webbie. They were the best dogs to be exposed to as a kid. They were so gentle and such cuddle bugs. Then my babysitter had a Chow and that was fun for me. He liked to just sit next to me and not pay too much attention, but his company was nice. Years later my aunt had a Rottweiler named Hunter and he was massive! Just a huge cuddle bear. He did not know his own strength. He'd push me down every time he'd say hello to me. Finally, 4 years ago my sister got a dog. A rescue named Ferdinand. He is calm and extremely loving. He hates being alone so it's like a white cloud following you everywhere. About my yard The house has a fully fenced front/back yard. They wrap around the house. There is an entry gate in the fence and that is how you get access to the front door. My experience administering medication I am. I know it's a pain, but it needs to be done. I had to stick pain meds down Ferdinand's throat when he had a slipped disc. He didn't like the taste so it wasn't easy having him sit. He did always feel better after giving it to him.
