Pet care experience
Hello! I’m a professional artist/illustrator that does walking and sitting part time in the Milwaukee area. My experience with dogs goes back about 15 years. I've had pets with personalities that ranged from your standard couch potato, to hyper-vigilance, and even dogs prone to reactive outbursts at other people/animals. As my own dog is fear-reactive, I am more than willing to take on more challenging cases; I'm also particularly adept at caring for senior pups and brachycephalic breeds, who need a bit more maintenance from time to time. I work a part time job most of the week, and may be gone for about 6 hours during the day (either morning or afternoon). I can provide enrichment and care for your animal before and after work, well into the evening, should you need! :)

After an unexpected change in plans, I needed to find a last-minute dog sitter for the evening. I had never used Rover before, and wasn’t really sure how everything worked. Ariel was SUPER patient and accommodating! Otis, my dog, is a very timid pup when I’m not around. She made a special effort to make him feel comfortable and safe. 10/10 would absolutely recommend Ariel!
Ariel helped us out on a tight timeline. She was able to do a meet and greet in a pinch, and was communicative and responsive. She did an awesome job with the drop in visit we needed, will use her again in the future.
Ariel was absolutely wonderful! She was incredibly professional, punctual and flexible as our plans adjusted a couple of times. She sent pictures and updates throughout the entirety of her stay with my pup. Not only will I be using Ariel again in the future but I'm also going to ask her to walk my pup during workdays. Ariel is a caring pet owner. Her dog has a lot of needs and Ariel goes to great ends to meet those needs. I’m sure any pet in her care would be loved unconditionally and their needs would also be met.

If I'm sitting with a reactive dog, I would need to meet with them maybe 2-3 times before sitting. I have no trouble assessing and building trust with your pet before your trip! Just let me know beforehand if there are any sort of behavioral problems I should anticipate, so that both me and your dog can stay safe! I have no breed restrictions, but I do have weight restrictions! I'm a fairly small person, and for safety's sake, I need to cap weight at 70lbs.
A typical day
Like I mentioned above, I walk plenty of dogs part time! I love walks! But if your dog is not a walker, we can play fetch and/or I can treat your dog with an enrichment toy (a kong filled with their dinner, or a snack) instead. I’m always willing to tailor our activities to your pets needs, even if those needs are as simple as a good pat now and then.
