Love Ariel! We will continue to keep using her. Highly recommend.

I do not typically write reviews, but my experience with Ariel was so upsetting and shocking that I felt like I needed to share with others what happened to me and my cats. This was my first time using rover. I was going out of town for 4 days and need someone to watch my 2 cats. One of my cats was in the process of recovering from a urinary blockage and was put on a prescription canned food diet. I made it clear that that's all my cat could eat and should be fed 3 cans a day. I also asked her if she could keep the litter box clean and keep an eye on my cat to make sure he was peeing. She agreed and understood my expectations. I chose Ariel because in her profile it said she was a vet tech and I really liked her from our meet and greet. I completely trusted her and felt like she would take great care of my cats while I was gone. Everything was fine before and during my trip. She texted me a few times with pictures and updates etc. But when I got home I was alarmed that I noticed only 3 cans of food missing and found 3 empty cans in the trash can...there should have been more missing for 4 days...about 12 to be exact. So I was extremely worried that my cat did not get fed his prescription food and I don't even know for sure if he was given anything else in addition to that one small can...apparently 3 times over a 4 day stay. I also noticed that both of the litter boxes were completely full and looked like they hadn't been cleaned at all. I had already been texting back and forth with Ariel and when I asked her if my cat was getting fed the canned food she replied quickly saying yes, one a day, right? I said no it was suppose to be 3 a day. We had went over it in person and I even left printed instructions by the cat food as a reminder. She responded saying she misunderstood and that she was sorry. I then asked her what else was she feeding my cats then? She didn't respond. I waited all night and until the next day to text her again and still no response. I messaged her on rover multiple times without a response. After 2 days passed she responded on rover saying she had been trying to get a hold of me via text and that she thought I had blocked her, which I didn't because I was trying to get a hold of her. I had also called rover to tell them what was happening and that I couldn't get a hold of her. She said because of that call that rover blocked communications from her to me. Which isn't true because I asked rover. She then said that she did feed my cat 3 cans a day...even though previously she said she didn't. And that she got them from work and discarded them separately....seems odd to me. Everything she was saying didn't add up. She brought up that she even sent me pictures everyday...well I found out today that those pictures she sent were actually all taken on the same day within minutes of each other and she just sent them to me through out my trip...yeah pictures have time stamps on them...I didn't know anything was wrong because on the texts it doesn't say when it was taken just when it was sent, but when you save the photo to your phone, at the top it says when it was taken..... Long story short, Ariel lied about feeding my cat his prescription food and most likely about staying at my place and watching my cats. I'm so upset that she would go through all that to lie to me. I'm even more worried now about my cat because since I've been home he hasn't want to eat his food and was peeing small amounts again. As of yesterday afternoon he hasn't peed and it is possible he might be blocked again. If he hasn't peed by the time I get off work, I'll have to take him to the vet and will be facing another large vet bill. I feel like Ariel put my cat's health in danger by neglecting the instructions I left her and then lied about it. I will not be using rover or her again in the future.
