I'm a freelance writer and curator looking to spend more time with animals while working on personal projects in California where I was born and raised. My experience with animals includes helping train and raise my mother's toy poodle rescuing my own cat (Amerpersand) in college who is currently residing in Chicago with my partner, and I consistently provide trustworthy and loving in-home pet sitting for friends and family annually while they travel. . It's some of my favorite time spent! I received my BA in Art History and Women’s Studies from California State University, Fullerton and my MA in Arts Education from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. I have also worked at the Third Coast International Audio Festival, the Art Institute of Chicago, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Chicago Artists Coalition, and was most recently, the Residency & Public Programs Manager at the Hyde Park Art Center. (which was a great dog inclusive building so I had many friends) In my spare time I lace up their skates to play roller derby as K.D. Fang #714 and would love to talk to you about podcasts & baseball.
