Pawsitive Vibes Only

Pet care experience

Caleb and I are both experienced dog owners as well as some previous fostering and volunteering experience. We regularly help our friends watch their dogs while they're away so we are used to handling multiple dogs at once. Also with dog boarding experience for the past 3 years meeting all different kinds of dogs. We understand the stress of leaving behind your fur baby while away on trips so we will always treat your dog like our own and consistently send you updates to put your mind at ease. We also make sure your dogs are always happy and comfortable during their stay with us. Find us on Instagram: @pawsitivevibes.cv

Ariel & Caleb were very welcoming hosts for my cat. I appreciate the updates they sent periodically throughout the stay. They're also very friendly.

Ariel and Caleb are great sitters and we always know our pup Bombo is happy when we leave him with them. They’re very communicative and responsive and they always take very good care of him. We will definitely continue booking with them! 😊

Ariel and Caleb were amazing with our pup! They were wonderful taking care of him and playing with him. They sent constant updates with pictures and videos throughout his stay and right from the start we could tell Bombo felt very comfortable with them too! Thank you so much for taking such good care of Bombo and being very sweet with him. We will definitely book again!! :)

Our full-time dogs Katana, who is a 5 year old Formosan Mountain Dog rescued from Taiwan, usually minds her own business. Since she's grown older, she doesn't play as much with other dogs and only likes to play with her brother, Jack Jack. She's very shy with new people so she may hide/bark during our meet & greets! It's nothing personal, she does this with all new people she meets and could take a while to warm up. Our foster fail, Jack Jack, is a 3 year old Formoson Moutain Dog. He's less timid than Katana and LOVES to play with other dogs. Your dog will never be bored with us! He has endless energy and loves to chase yet plays very gently. His favorite thing to do is sunbathe, he could lay in the sun for hours. We also recently adopted a new Kitten brother (medium haired domestic), Sesame, who grew up very closely with Katana and Jack Jack so he acts more dog than cat. Please let me know if your dog are highly aggressive or uncomfortable around cats, we do have designated rooms in our house to keep them separated in necessary situations. We love to see dogs learn and grow so if there are any specific areas you want us to work on with your dog during their stay, please feel free to let us know!

Information Ariel & Caleb N. would like to know about your pet

Let us know your dog's personality with new people and new dogs, how do they react when first going to a new home? It's normal for dogs to be nervous and not wanting to do anything but wait for you to return by the door. From our experience, it takes at least 1-2 days for dogs to adjust and feel comfortable. For some dogs, it may take longer but rest assured that we will do whatever we can do make your dog feel at home. Has your dog ever shown aggression towards people or other dogs? If yes, what was the situation? Please also let us know your dog's normal schedule at home including peeing, pooping and eating. We want to match their regular schedule as much as possible.

A typical day

Besides napping, playing with toys, and running around outside, we also enjoy watching some of Katana's favorite movies: Bolt, Lady and the Tramp, Lion King, etc. We also put time aside to do sniff work and puzzle toys to challenge/stimulate their minds. Depending on your dog's specific needs, we will find ways to customize your dog's activities! For example, if your dog is shy/timid, I would work on a lot of agility work to build confidence. For dogs with limited attention spans and high hyperactivity, I would give brain toys to help teach focus and stimulate brain activity to not only tire them out physically, but mentally.

Availability

I work Monday through Thursday at SFO International Airport and Caleb is also working full-time Monday through Friday. The dogs are normally left home alone from 9-5 M-Th but with the company of Katana, Jack Jack, and Sesame. We will take the dogs out first thing in the morning, right when we return from work, and again before we sleep. We normally take the dogs out on the weekends and long walks weekdays. We live in a 1 story house with a large fenced yard, or as we like to call it, our own personal dog park! We also live a block away from a large park we take the dogs to for long walks and nearby fenced dog parks.
