Hi! I’m Arica and I’m a graduate student and volunteer at Austin Pets Alive, the Austin animal shelter. I have worked professionally with dogs and cats, both in shelters and dog hotels. I’m great with temperamental kitties and with managing large groups of dogs. I have a rescue Australian Cattle Dog named Charlie, who was a stray street dog and is now a happy couch potato. I also own a pair of bonded kitties, Grimm and Miyo. I’m always happy to add more animals to my life, and will safely and readily take care of nervous, shy, or rowdy animals. I work very hard to send phenomenal photos to owners and detailed descriptions of how the pet(s) acted that day. I have acute senses for signs of emotional and physical distress in animals.
