Reliable, Patient, and Caring

Pet care experience

I love all dogs but I have a special place in my heart for senior dogs. I love giving them extra attention. I have experience with medication. Chester, my senior beagle, had to take quite a bit because of his Cushions disease. I had to get creative with getting him to take his pills. I cared for Chester and Chelsea (my second beagle, because you can't just have one :) ) since they were puppies. More recently I've cared for Moki, my sister's Aussie Doodle since she was a puppy as well. I am very patient with younger dogs and may even teach them a new trick. Obedience training is something I strongly support. I am happy to reinforce any training while your pup stays with me. Exercise and mental enrichment is something else that I feel is important. I usually make sure that we get minum two walks a day. Depending on the weather. For senior dogs, we may not walk around the neighborhood but instead we will spend time in the garden. Although at the moment I don't care for cats, I do have experience caring for senior cats. Princess was 18 years old at the time she passed. Princess was a rescued cat and she started out as a foster. She went from hiding in my closet to allowing me to kiss her head and letting me pet her. She was a very special cat.

This was my first time leaving Vannah with someone other than my family. Arianna put me at ease with updates and photos. Everything was so easy and simple. I knew Vannah was in good hands. I feel fortunate that she was able to stay with someone in my neighborhood.

If you’re considering leaving your dog with Arianna don’t hesitate to book with her. We left our pup with her for a five day stay, and would not hesitate to leave him again. She responded very quickly to our initial inquiry and set up a meet and greet to make sure we would be a good fit. From the get go everything was well coordinated and clearly communicated. Arianna gave us frequent updates/pictures, and was incredibly attentive. Most often, we would receive pictures showing our pup curled up sleeping with his head on her lap. There was no doubt our dog felt at home and safe in her care. We were nervous at first, since our pup is pretty high energy and demanding at times but when we picked him up he had clearly been walked lots, was happy and most importantly, safe! Thanks Arianna!

I highly recommend Arianna to anyone who is looking for someone to take care of his/her dog. Arianna has taken care of my little Maltese dog, Chachita, multiple times in the last 3 years. Arianna truly loves dogs and it shows. She went above and beyond everytime she took care of Chachita. While taking care of Chachita, Arianna took my dog for a walk 3-4 times a day, fed her regularly, and made sure my dog was always happy. My dog gets so happy and excited and starts wagging her tail every time she knows she'll be staying with Arianna. Arianna is trustworthy and will always do what's best for your dog.

I have a large house and your pup is free to go through out. I keep the bathroom, and basement doors closed at all times. The kitchen is off limits so I have that gated. I keep my home tidy so there isn't anything your pup can get into. I do have a garden and backyard. They are not fenced, but if we go to the garden or backyard your pup will be leashed at all times. After the passing of Chester and Chelsea, I have not gotten a new dog. Your pup will have 100% of my attention. For boarding I like to take one dog at a time to ensure your pup gets my full attention. For doggy daycare I can take up to two a day. However, if you own more than one pup I can accept your request. Message me to schedule. If you are OK with it, I can take them to the dog park so they can socialize. I live very near Forest Park and I have two dog parks near by.

Information Arianna R. would like to know about your pet

It is important for me to know if your pup has any behavioral issues. For instance, if they don't like being around other dogs, get frightened easily, are very anxious, etc. As this will help me better care for them. If there are any allergies or dietary restrictions that too is important for me to know. I enjoy taking the pups to the dog park but will only do so if I have your OK. These are just a few examples. Do let me know if there is anything else that I need to know. I do ask that we schedule a time for a meet and greet. To ensure that I am a good fit for you and your pup. Also, for you to see where your pup will be staying for the next few days. For larger dogs, we cannot skip the meet and greet. Your pup does need to have some obedience training in order to stay with me.

A typical day

Our day starts of with a morning walk. Once we come back we will have some breakfast and then have some playtime. During the week I would then log on for work and take several breaks throughout the day to check in with the pup. I will make sure there are plenty of toys and snacks. I have a sofa where I create a nice space for the pups to look out the window. At lunch time, we will go out for our second walk and finally when I end work we'll go on our last walk, where we go explore the neighborhood. I like to take them to different places in the neighborhood for them to get some new smells. I live very close to Forest Park and like to take them on some of the trails. During the evening, we can snuggle up and watch the news and/or play a bit more before bed.
