I’ve always had dogs growing up, but now that I’m a college student in a new city, I really miss that aspect of my life. Being a transplant in this bustling, amazing city is fun and exciting, but it can also feel disorienting and hectic. Dogs have always kept me grounded and feeling connected since I was a young girl, so having this opportunity means so much since I can’t really afford to have a dog while I’m in school. But being a student allows me the flexibility to spend a lot of time with your pup, even with my classes. I live super close to school, so I can even swing by in between classes to give your pup a bathroom walk or some much needed belly rubs––I know leaving them is the hardest thing to do because it feels like you’ve been gone an eternity from their perspective. I have one other roommate and she is also a huge dog lover and has had dogs in her family too. We’re about a 3-minute walk from Boston Commons and we live in a super dog-friendly building, so your pup is sure to make plenty of friends during his or her stay with us! I will only take one client at a time so your pup will receive my absolute full attention. I’m a very active person with a full social life, but your pup’s safety, health, and happiness will be my main priority when under my care. I’m also a serious student, so I am home a lot to study and preparing for exams. I am a Business and Marketing major, and even though I like to explore my new city, I also like to spend time at home and read books, watch movies, and try out some new recipes I find online. I also like to stay fit and walking your dog or going for a leisurely jog would bring me so much pleasure and joy. My roommate and I have different schedules too, so it’s very likely that your pup will never be alone, or alone for very long. We like to keep our lights on and the TV or music playing if we’re in class, just so your pup can hear human voices. There’s not a doubt in my mind that once I graduate from college and land a serious career with regular income I will get my own dog or two. I just know that it takes more than love and desire to be a good parent to a dog, and so I’m biding my time. But I need to get my furry friend fix, so it would be my absolute pleasure (and you’d be doing me a huge favor) to take care of your pup for a short spell while you’re away. Your dog will be showered with so much love and affection, I’m not sure s/he will even want to go back home.
