Every single dog that I see on the street I will go out of my way to pet. I've had an intense love for dogs from a very young age. At home, I have a puppy we rescued who is just over a year old. His name is Rory and he is the sweetest little guy you've ever met. We rescued him in October of 2016, after begging my parents for years and years to get a dog. We went to an adoption fair with hundreds and hundreds of dogs, just to "look." We get there and the first dog I see is Rory. I run over to his little play area and jump inside, scooping him up in my arms. My mom insists we look around more as we'd been there less than five minutes. I refused, knowing he was the one, and sat in his play pen for over an hour holding him to make sure no one else could adopt him. It was love at first sight. I am a college student who will be attending Portland State University and will be missing my Rory terribly. I am a morning person and have no problem getting up extremely early. Classes start at 8am for me on Monday and Wednesday, but I could easily drop in at a house or walk a dog before then. Classes start at 9am on Tuesday and Thursday, so mornings then work as well! I get out right around noon every day and will be available after that for afternoon walks and house visits! I am just trying to give as much love as I can to dogs in Oregon. I've never met a dog that I haven't instantly fallen in love with! I am extremely loving with a big heart and have always had a really strong connection with dogs. I am a very active individual and would love to get some daily exercise with dogs! I am so excited! I have also done a lot of work with the Marin Humane Society back home and am very much looking forward to volunteering at the Oregon Humane Society!
