Saftey-driven, calm, and loving.

Pet care experience

Hello! Welcome to my Rover profile. I can't wait to meet your fluffer-snuggle-babies! Yes, I will be gushing over your pet during the course of our time together. If you have a problem with that, let me know and I will promptly redirect my excitement about their furry perfection toward my lovingly tolerant husband. While my schedule has begun to fill since joining Rover in the Spring of 2018, I truly can’t wait to punctuate it with all of your pets’ unique personalities. My breed, size, and special needs experience has certainly expanded with each new, amazing pet parent who has trusted me to care for their family! Before moving to Tampa, I enjoyed walking and pet sitting for several of my previous neighbors—they called me the “Dog Lady,” a title I wore with honor. I also volunteered with the local cat rescue. As it turns out, I am somewhat of a cat whisperer although we don’t have one of our own. Sad, but our own fuzz-butt can't seem to smell past their claws. I always welcome kitty-care request for drop-ins, though, and if you'd like me to walk your cat on a harness, I'd say, "That sounds refreshing, to me!" Helping pets enjoy some fresh air, sunshine, and mental stimulation is one of my favorite things to do! My goal for your pets are that they are satisfied by the end of our visit. I know this can mean different things for different pets! So, even if walking very far is too much for your senior babies (or too unsafe for especially exuberant dogs), I will discuss creative solutions to make the time I spend with them a value to you both. Sometimes that means extra snuggle time on the back patio or it could mean a pair of work gloves, an extra long rope, and two fetch balls. I respect your pet's personality! That’s why I’d love to meet you and your dog before our first visit to discuss exactly what makes them happiest. I also find, for walking and drop-in clients, that my entry into your home is less stressful on your pets if they have interacted with me at least once while mom and/or dad were present. Information for overnight stays in my home: --Meet-and-greets are mandatory. Why? Safety and fit are very important to me! I do my best to accommodate last-minute requests but, even so, require a meeting at least 24 hours before the stay. I will always do my best to keep your pet safe and comfortable. If, for any reason, your family or mine does not believe we would be a good fit, I will still be happy to work with you and Rover support to find a suitable sitter! I strongly believe this service is about what's best for Fido and Fluffy--not about what's convenient for us! --We have a 4', chain-link fence. Large dogs can jump it; there are a couple of gaps that very small dogs can squeeze through. If your pet is motivated to escape, this is a risk. Although I am always outside with pets during outdoor time, I recommend that you consider us for your stay only if your pets are also motivated to stay near their caretakers. --Your pet may be sleeping alone at night in their own, spacious guest room. I'm so sorry about this and promise to be near if they need me! Unfortunately, my own girl gets uncomfortable with unfamiliar dogs in "her" bedroom. For safety, I make sure everyone is separated while I am sleeping. However, for tiny crate-trained dogs, I have been known to set them next to bed in their crate. Know that pet personality can make some rules flexible and creative solutions possible. --My schedule varies but I like updating owners about it daily so you always know when your babies are being loved on. --We enjoy lots and lots of sunbathing/outside time! --Check out time is 2pm. 2-6pm checkout will be charged as a half day rate. 6pm and later will be charged an additional day. But, yes, you can come get your baby at 11pm if your flight came in late. 5% of my earnings are donated to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay quarterly via Rover’s donation program. I offer a 10% discount to our military and first responders. Don't be shy about identifying yourselves!

Arayna is the best! My number one choice for watching our pug when we’re out of town.

Arayna did amazing with Noah. She was very attentive and communicative. It was obvious to me that she loves to care for dogs and I couldn’t recommended her more. She sent frequency pictures and updates. My dog Noah was more than comfortable with her and I will definitely book with her again.

Arayna is a fabulous dog caretaker and was incredibly during drop ins with our pug puppy, Ulysses. She shared photos, left detailed reviews and gave our pup the same attention we would give him. I will be hiring her time and time again.

Information Arayna S. would like to know about your pet

Every pet parent’s style is a little different and every pet is a little person. That’s why before any job, I’d like to come by for a free owner-accompanied meet and walk. Any breed. Any size. I’ve enjoyed sitting for a Doberman, 2 Bull Mastiffs, Terriers, the sweetest senior German Shepherd, several all Americans, and many more since joining Rover! I have always cared for and adopted adults and seniors so my experience with puppies is limited but I would still be happy to work with them, nonetheless.

A typical day

Whether your handsome guy needs a 30 minute run, or your sassy golden gal is happiest smelling the flowers from a wagon ride, I’ll find some interesting routs that work best for them. I often track walks using MapMyRun so you know exactly where we went, how far, how long, and what pace. I understand that Tampa is crowded, with lots of construction and limited sidewalks. I choose safe routes away from loud noises and I limit time on brick and blacktop so your babies don't get burnt paws or heat exhaustion. I always carry water but ask that you provide your pet's own collapsible water bowl to avoid sharing germs between clients.
