Teacher & Lover of Pups!
Pet care experience
Hi! I am Apryl - I am a full time teacher and life time dog lover. I have recently moved on my own from a friend who boarded dogs through Rover and absolutely loved having dogs fill my home. I have always owned a dog and can't remember a time in my life where I didn't have a pup there to brighten my day. I currently have a Miniature Dachshund named Daisy who is 7 years old and loves having friends over to play. I am comfortable with all pets - I have experience caring for dogs and cats from 2 days old to 20 years old. I also have experience with dogs and cats with special needs (blind, deaf, medicated, seizures, etc). I am available for sitting, boarding, and walking; I can also pick up your pet for sitting and boarding if necessary for an addditional fee. I look forward to meeting you and caring for your pup or feline friend!

Apryl did an awesome job taking car of my two bigger dogs. She was very responsive and kept us posted with lots of updates on how the dogs were doing. I would highly recommend her to others.
Apryl is great. She’s been responsible and very caring with Stanley. He really seems to like her and gets along well with her puppy too. It’s nice having someone I can trust that I know will take good care of him while I’m gone.
Apryl was great and easy to work with. She was great with my dog and kept in touch frequently. I’m certainly planning to book again!
My dog spent 11 nights with Apryl while I was on vacation and I would not use her as a sitter again. The meet and greet went well, the home seemed suitable and my dog got along fine with Apryl's. Apryl mentioned that there would be no other dogs staying with her while my pup was there, so I was quite surprised when I dropped off my small dog and found a large, growling dog crated in the middle of the house. Apryl said it would be fine since the other dog would be crated most of the time--I wonder if the other owner knew this. Over the course of the stay, a couple more random dogs popped up in a picture I was sent. I understand that dogsitters make money by watching more dogs, but adding a large, clearly upset and therefore potentially aggressive dog at the last minute was not appreciated. Next, my dog's special instructions requested that if she needed to be transported by car to please use her crate for safety reasons. Halfway through my vacation, I got a picture of her curled up in the back seat of a car--no crate in sight, and it's big enough it would have been visible--with a note that they'd taken a road trip for a few days to East Texas. One, I had not been informed in advance nor given permission for her to go on any overnight trips (Apryl had not even mentioned it might be a possibility). Two, the request to crate for car rides was the only item in my special instructions, leaving me doubting if any of the instructions for care had even been read. Overall, I was left worrying about my dog's wellbeing. The only bright spot is that she seemed fine (albeit cowering under the table until she saw me) when I went to pick her up.
