Animals are a precious gift and they deserve to be treated with love and respect. I have worked as a foster volunteer for the local animal shelter for several years. My family and I are very used to having all kinds furry guests in our home. We have cared for all types of dogs from tiny newborn puppies to seniors recovering for surgery,. Cats and kittens too! I can honestly say I have never had a foster I didn't fall in love with. Over the years my friends have counted on me to care for their pets when they are out of town. Everyone knows April is their go-to girl of they want their dog loved like crazy while they are away. I am a stay at home mom of four kids, one dog and three cats. I also have a sweet husband who supports my love for animals. He encouraged to do what I love as a job. If you want your dog to feel like he's in his home away from home, contact me!

we usually prefer traveling with Sunny but since we were going to India for over 3 weeks, we’ve decided to find a sitter on Rover and we are extremely thankful to have found Apriil! She was loving, caring and very helpful. We could see that Sunny misses her and the family more than he missed us after he returned home. She sent updates/photos frequently. She was very quick in addressing any issues and I highly recommend April for anybody who would like to see their pets feel at home, while they are away
April was so wonderful when it came to our dog! She knew exactly what to do to ease his anxious soul and put up with his quirks for him to become comfortable! Rye came home so happy and that is the sign of a great stay!!
April has watched my mini Australian Shepard several times and we’ve had a great experience! She is super knowledgeable about animals, as she already fosters them herself, and takes great care of my dog Brody while he’s there. He gets plenty of running around on their farm and always returns happy and tired. Thank you, April!
April has been a blessing as a dog watcher. She is kind and gentle and loving and the animals naturally are attracted to her. She puts our minds at ease knowing that our beloved pets will be well taken care of. I have no breed restrictions, all friendly dogs are welcome! We have 3 resident cats. Does your dog have experience in living or boarding with cats? How does he react to cats? I have 4 children, the youngest being 9 years old. Some animals just aren't comfortable around children. If your pets is especially afraid of or aggressive towards kids, we may not be the right home for you. Most of all, I want your dog to feel at home while they are staying with me. Tell me about any regular routines, quirks and preferences your dog may have. These details will help me create a comfortable environment for your pet.
A typical day
We live on an acre of land in a quiet neighborhood, so we will take walks on the trails and streets nearby. Your dog will get plenty of exercise playing on the property. He can romp and play fetch in our fenced play area. A word about my dog: Thor is 100 pond Great Pyrenees dog. He is considered a giant breed. He may be huge, but he's as gentle as can be. He LOVES when doggie friends come to play and is still very much a puppy. If your dog tends to be shy or nervous around large dogs, we may not be the best fit as sitters for him. I always like to schedule a meet and greet appointment with a new family to be sure everyone is going to get along.
