Pet care experience
I’ve loved and cared for pets with fur and scales my whole life. Neighbors and family have often relied on me to walk, feed and groom their pets. I’m an experienced puppy trainer. I’ve also been a volunteer dog walker and cat socializer at Barcs!

April was absolutely the best cat sitter I could have asked for. She was FABULOUS with our 2 cats. She went above and beyond in every category from playing with them to engaging with our pet buttons, and taking our boi outside for a backyard kitty walk. More importantly, when we were concerned that Fynn was sick, she rushed him to the 24hr emergency vet and waited until we were sure he was OK (it turned out to be cat asthma). She was super diligent with giving him his meds and monitoring his breathing and coughing. I can't wait to use her again. My husband and I are SO GRATEFUL that we found her. I can't imagine using anyone but her in the future. April was a live-in sitter for 1 week over the Christmas holiday. She was respectful of our home and I know she cherishes our fur babies. Over the past year, April has been taking care of our 14 year old havanese poodle, Grizz, who lost her primary care taker, my dad who passed away last year, and her playmate (our other dog) who passed earlier this year. April has since stepped in and given our dog the exercise and attention she had been missing. Also clipping Grizz's nails and trimming her dog beard. April is a dedicated and observant caretaker that I would recommend for all pets exotic or otherwise.
First, April K is animal lover. She is smart. She has many experience as pet parents herself, dog, cat, rat, lizard, rabbit...they all live happily under her care. I had a puppy that was hard for me to keep him because he was scared of walking down steps for his business outside. I was thinking of finding other people for him. April raised my puppy; potty training, socializing with other and made my puppy as a beautiful good dog for me. I can't thank enough. She is very patient, caring, experienced person who can take good care of any breed of dog I believe.

Let me know about your pet. More information is better than not enough. Behavioral quirks, triggers, tells, etc. I would prefer to care for dogs that are well behaved and do not react aggressively to strangers. I love big dogs but will not accept dogs over 100 lbs for everyones safety as I am a small human. If your furry friend has augmentive speech buttons, I will encourage them to practice while you’re away.
A typical day
Depending on the pets needs we’d find mental and physical stimulation that is appropriate. For dogs, walks in the neighborhood to enjoy “free smells” or simple games like fetch and hide&seek.
