My love for dogs is profound...
Pet care experience
When I was 9, I began bathing dogs after school and on weekends for a grooming salon. I've been fortunate to have some fur babies of my own over the years. I currently have an 11 year old GSD (female) and a 7 year old Lab-Pit mix (male), both rescues. I cook their meals at home and they are my "children". My 7 year old has Lymphoma, so, I've become very adept at taking care of a pup with special medical needs, the medications involved, a particular diet, a tailored exercise regimen and comforting and loving him through his chemotherapy for a year now. I have taken care of my siblings, friends and neighbors fur babies as well, countless times over a 30 year time span. My dogs are large (80 lbs) and extra large (130 lbs) so, big or small, I'm comfortable with all sizes and breeds. I am currently available 7 days a week. I am happy to walk, feed, love on and play with your fur baby (or babies) when you're not able to be with them. Every day I load my pups up and we go to a soccer field so that they can romp and play. They love the car ride too. We have a telescoping ramp and a slightly shorter one as well, because my oldest needs assistance and my youngest tuckered out because of his treatments. I take a bowl and a couple of bottled waters as well. And, of course, there are daily walks to handle their "business" and to break the monotony of the same old backyard. Lol!
Reviews
Again, April went above and beyond in caring for our pets while we were away. We came home to happy healthy fur-babies and she provided consistent communication throughout our trip.
Very communicative and flexible! My dog loved her! Thanks April!
April was thoughtful and caring, we appreciated her personable approach. If we need another house sitter, we would look to April again on Rover.
Had a drop-in tonight to introduce April to Lillibet. It’s not easy, L does not warm up to strangers easily. April has a lot of experience and patience and a lot of dog sense, so we’re hopeful that we can invite her back to try and get Lillibet to calm down around her, like she has for our family members.

I like to be specific about what each pet prefers. Habits, routines, keeping things as normal as possible. The fact that somebody else is already in their home can be stressful enough. If you start to change their routine, that can add to the stress as well. I always like to try to keep the same routine that the pet parent has with their fur baby.
Information April A S. would like to know about your pet
It's important to know what time they generally wake up, their feeding schedule, are treats allowed/encouraged, approximately how often they go out for bathroom breaks? Medications, dosages and times? Approximately what time they go to bed and will they be sleeping with me or on their bed? Activity level and how well do they interact with other dogs? For house-sitting, can they be left alone or would the pet parent like me to stay as much as possible? Does the pet have separation anxiety?
A typical day
I have a tennis ball launcher that I use with one of my clients. Walks in the park, playing fetch in the backyard, grooming, napping together, eating together, you name it!
