Hi there! I’m Aphtyn. As a native to southern Maine, I am excited to be back in my beautiful home state, new to the Yarmouth area. I’ve spent the last 3 years in Boston as a live-in private dog sitter for 2 Field Spaniels and 1 Cavapoo. My duties consisted of multiple daily walks + play time, vet visits, administering medication as needed, daily grooming, bathing, puppy training, crate training, and lots of treats + lovin’ 😊 I have experience with senior dog care, fear aggression, separation anxiety, and effectively breaking up a dog fight—you don’t think you need that knowledge until the day you do! I am very respectful of other people’s homes. I’ll keep your plants alive and thriving and leave your place tidier than you left it. I hope that helps you get to know a bit more about me. Aphtyn is amazing! I have a very shy, fearful dog and she took the time to come meet him and let him get comfortable at his own pace. She Sent pictures and updates with each visit. 100000/10 would recommend!
I can rest easy with Aphtyn taking care of my two dog’s, Veda & Ranger. She cares for them like they are her own. They are always extremely excited to spend time with her.

Information Aphtyn L. would like to know about your pet
I don’t have a problem watching fear aggressive or skittish dogs at their own home, I’m quite comfortable with them and the process it takes to get them acclimated to me, but I don’t allow aggressive dogs in my home as I have a dog that is recovering from a lot of fear based reactivity. So just a heads up on their behavior is great for me to know ahead of time. What treats they can/can’t have, any dietary restrictions or fears to be aware of, and anything else important that you would want me to know. Thank you!
A typical day
I am all about mentally stimulating your dog on the days that might be too treacherous to walk outside much, if at all. So on those days I love to play brain games like hide and seek, sniff out the treat, frozen treats in ice, or just practice some old tricks and learn some new ones.

I’m currently working a VERY flexible part-time job from home, so that allows me to schedule dog walks, boarding, home visits as much or as little as I want—or as I like to think of it, living the dream ☺️
