Pet care experience
I have experience with small and large dogs as personal pets. They are a part of our family and your dog will be part of our family as well. Your dog will get lots of love and attention. I would be valuable to you if you work long hours and your dog needs let out or walked, if you are coming to Okoboji for the weekend and want to bring your dog along, drop them off for a few hours or overnight. If your dog needs to go out for a walk, but you don't have the time, I can do it for you. My schedule varies depending on my full time job. I have random days off during the week, sometimes I'm available in the morning and sometimes in the evenings. I'm able to host your dog overnight if I'm working, they will be alone until my husband or I are off. I'm available most weekends. Please feel free to ask if I'm available. I love animals!

I was in from out of town for my nephew's wedding. I had to be at the wedding for over seven hours, including being there early (3:30 pm) for family pictures, and then the ceremony, cocktail hour, and the party. I wanted to know that my dogs would be comfortable, safe, and happy so I could enjoy my nephew's special occasion. Aphton suggested a "Meet and Greet" so the dogs could meet her, her husband, her dog, and see her house two days before the wedding. A great suggestion! My dogs seemed immediately comfortable with her and in her house and yard, which made me feel good. When I brought the dogs to Aphton's house on the day of the wedding, they were excited to be there again. Aphton and her husband paid close attention to my instructions on food, walks, etc. The dogs were relaxed when I left, and I could tell they would be in good hands. Aphton sent me a couple of update texts during the wedding, letting me know when they had been walked, and she sent photos of my dogs snoozing comfortably next to her. My dogs were doing great when I picked them up, and I would absolutely hire Aphton as a dog sitter again. I highly recommend her.
She was great with my little man. Kept me updated through the weekend and seemed to be keeping him active. If I need a sitter in the area again, I would definitely let Aphton watch him again.
Fitz and Lucy had a great time. Slept all the way home in the car. I much prefer leaving my pets with a family instead of boarding them in a kennel. We plan to go back next July when we go to the lake.
Awesome! Very accommodating, friendly, and even sent me pictures of my pup all tired out and resting after playing hard outside. Thanks again!
