Great job in watching my pup for the day. My dog was so happy and relaxed when I got home.

Anya worked for my dog boarding facility the summer of 2016. She was always on time, happy, and energetic. She endured the hot humid summer outside without ever complaining because she really enjoyed being with the pets. She absolutely adored the pets in her care and was great with their owners. She not only met but exceeded client expectations. She was part of a very responsible team that walked, fed, gave medications to, bathed and ...

Experienced kennel assistant

Hi! My name is Anya and I'm a first-year PhD student in English literature at UCLA. My program is competitive and demanding, and nothing could be a better break than caring for a dog!

I only recently discovered my passionate love for animals. Over the summer, I worked directly within a veterinary practice. I was a kennel assistant, caring for up to 40 dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. Although I'd never had a ...

When Anya watches your pet

Let me take you through a typical day of fun while I'm sitting for your dog:

7 AM (or bright and early at the time of your preference): up for a morning walk! It's always easier to get out of bed when you have an excited pup to help you get going!

7:45 AM: we've had our first walk! Time for me to get ready for the day, dress, etc.

8 AM (or whenever you'd like): breakfast for your furry friend!

9 AM: time for a big walk! if possible, I'd love to take your dog on a walk on the beautiful LA beaches, so we can both enjoy some extended exercise. Or if you prefer we don't drive, we can just explore your neighborhood! For senior dogs or those with mobility issues, some gentler walking or playtime in the backyard makes a great substitute.

11 AM: after a nice long walk, we're both good and tired. Time to cuddle up and relax! I love to read aloud to pets so they can enjoy the sound of my voice and some attention while I get a little schoolwork done.

1 PM: Time for another potty break. We might also do some outside play, like fetch or running together, if your pet is feeling very energetic!

2 PM: Does your pet need a bath? Any grooming? A beautiful brush-out? A nail trim? I can provide any of these services, or we can just spend quality time together with plenty of petting and snuggles.

4 PM: Time for another walk around the block!

6 PM: Generally this is when I would feed pets dinner, but earlier or later, or whatever you prefer! I'll adapt to your schedule.

8 PM: One more potty break before we settle in for the evening! I find most dogs are okay overnight, but I'm always happy to go out again.

10 PM: bedtime for both of us!
