Experienced with flexible schedule!

Pet care experience

I am a 29 year old female working from home part time. Growing up surrounded by dogs, cats, and rabbits has given me a love for all animals. Currently, I own a 10-year-old Russian Blue cat, but often times care for and administer medications/IV fluids for my childhood goldendoodle, whom is 16 years old. Both these pets are extremely good with other dogs and other cats. I have experience in dog training (and some cat training), and while I love ALL dogs, big dogs and doodles are my favorite! I have a positive-reinforcement style of training, meaning I try not to scold for bad behavior, but rather reward positive behavior. I am also a big fan of teaching a dog to ring a bell (hung up by the door) to communicate they need to go outside. I am partial to crate-training, but understand that not all dogs respond the same to this. I believe that a crate is meant to be a safe-space that belongs to that pup--it is not a punishment. I have gained intimate experience in caretaking and healthcare in a skilled nursing facility and attending PT school. I understand how pets are family members, and we only want the very best for them. My availability is VERY flexible; morning, noon, overnights, weekdays and weekends.

If I could give Anya 10 stars I would. She took great care of our 14 year old Doodles, took her for walks, stayed at our house. She made vacation so stress free, commucated daily, sent pictures and left our house spotless, even washed the sheets!. Just a wonderful and caring person. We are lucky to have found her.

Anya did a great job taking care of our girls. We did a meet and greet a few days prior. We got updates and photos a couple times during the week, and Anya was very responsive via Rover message. Our girls had a good time with the other dog she was sitting for, and Anya also worked with us over messaging on troubleshooting our younger dog’s potty confusion. We are grateful for her patience and care, and our girls came home their happy selves.

Anya was amazing with our dog. She sent pictures and kept us updated as to how he was doing. She took him for walks and kept him very busy! I think he loved his time with her. We will definitely book with her again! Thanks Anya for keeping our dog happy while we were gone.

Safety, trust & environment

I care deeply for all animals. That is why it is important to me to ensure all animals boarded get along together. Safety is my number one priority. When attending to pets someones home, I act in accordance of the rules of the home and I am respectful of their house and belongings, while also providing the best care and comfort for their furry family member. When boarding pets in my own home, I think it is important to provide as much comfort to them as possible, which includes affection, food, and a designated space that they can call "their own". Pets don't know why they are boarded somewhere, or even if it is temporary. Its important for them to understand that they are still safe.

Information Anya B. would like to know about your pet

What information is important to know about a dog ahead of time? What does your dogs typical day look like? When and what do they eat? When do they typically go potty? How will I know if they need to go potty if we are inside? Is your dog allowed on furniture? Does your dog experience any food aggression? Does your dog have any notable behavioral issues? i.e.: Is your dog comfortable and/or friendly with other dogs? Cats? Children? Male and females? How can I make your dog feel safe or more comfortable when I am with them?

A typical day

I am a big fan of playing fetch. I grew up with labs and goldens, who are natural retrievers. I enjoy enclosed dog parks, but if that isn't something a dog enjoys, I take them on my daily hour long walk, which can be split into multiple walks for senior dogs.
