Pet care experience
I have been pet sitting and housesitting since 2009, along with growing up with dogs, cats, guinea pigs, and chickens. I started to seriously get into pet/ housesitting 15 years ago in my home town of Boulder, CO, expanding to more than just friends and neighbors. Since then I have watched alpacas, gerbils, birds, chickens, bunnies, cats, dogs, guinea pigs and more! I lived in Australia and New Zealand for a year and housesat for neighbors and friends. I have also done quite a bit of housesitting in CO, CA, WA, and MT, both short and long term. The longest I have housesat was 2 years in a rural mountain town in Colorado, making sure pipes didn’t freeze in the winter and evacuating for a forest fire one summer. Anya has cared for our 2 kitties and the house many times, and even helped a few friends with their pups :) She is kind, responsible, and great with furry friends! I recommend Anya without hesitation to anyone looking for a very responsible and loving pet caregiver. We have had Anya stay with our dog a few weeks a year for about 4 years. She is easy to communicate with, follows our wishes and instructions perfectly, gives our pet a lot of attention & love as shown in the pictures she texts while we are away. She is easy to check in with if we are wondering how things are going which is always very reassuring. Our dog is now elderly and Anya was willing to come over before our last trip so we could show her how to put him in his wheelcart for walks and discuss his new routine. She had no concern about taking care of a higher-need dog. In addition to taking great care of our pet she treats our house well, too. It is always cleaner than when we left. Also, she has never canceled caring for our pet so we have been able to relax knowing that she will be there and take care of everything while we are away. A typical day
Depending on your pets abilities I love biking, hiking, running, backpacking, rafting, and skiing and would love to take them along! If they are social we can head to the dog park or if they aren’t interested in other animals we can check out a secluded hiking trail. I love snuggling and pets that love belly rubs!

I just quit my job at North Valley Food Bank to explore a Doula certification and postpartum accreditation. I am currently working part time as a Nanny and have lots of time to adventure with your pet! I am an active outdoor lover and try to take advantage of every season in this beautiful place we call home!
