Thank you to Antonio who took wonderful care of my girls. He sent multiple photos and videos of their activities and kept me informed. They must have had a great time because they were all about "sleeping " when I got home?. Great job Antonio!

Unfortunately, my doggie's experience with Antonio was an extremely dangerous and traumatic one. First, let me caveat this by stating I am not one to leave any reviews at all let alone ones with 1 star. In this particular instance I felt it to be of upmost importance as I do not want you to put your pet in the same situation I regretfully put mine in. My dog, Lyric, will take weeks to recover from the 2 hours she spent with Antonio. Upon contacting Antonio, I felt he was very punctual in his responses and articulate. He stated he was taking care of another dog until 6pm but if I needed to bring Lyric over prior to that that he would separate the dogs until then. Lyric lived in a pet shelter for 3.5 years before I adopted her so she becomes extremely hesitant being around other animals. Also due to living in a shelter for years, Lyric has separation anxiety. She does not like to be left alone and will become very frantic if left alone in small enclosed spaces. All things which were communicated via my Rover profile to Antonio before booking the stay. Lyric was brought to Antonio at 1:13pm. At 3:21pm, I received a message stating to please call because there was an emergency. The emergency was several severe lacarations to Lyric's face and hind legs. Antonio messaged me that my dog was "extremely aggressive and destructive" and to come pick her up immediately after the text which stated there was an emergency. A message which confused me since anyone who has ever met Lyric will tell you she's the sweetest and happiest dog you will ever see. Lyric does not even know how to bark. I immediately left the wedding I was attending to pick Lyric up. Upon arrival, I discovered Lyrics lacarations were due to Antonio shutting her in A SMALL BATHROOM all alone. As many dogs with separation anxiety do, Lyric became extremely frantic and tried to do anything in her power to get out. In this instance, she attempted to get out by breaking the door. Antonio showed me that his bedroom door doesn't shut all of the way in his apartment. Antonio's methodology to keeping the dogs separate was to put one dog in his room with the door that doesn't shut and to keep my dog locked away in the bathroom. Antonio let his apartment within minutes of Lyric's arrival with her being shut in a tiny bathroom while the other dog had full reign of the apartment. Lyric's lacaractions not only came from the bathroom door, but from being attacked by the other dog as well. Rightfully so, I was extremely disheartened when picking Lyric up from Antonio. Not only did I miss my friend's wedding (which is the only reason I was in Colorado), but after seeing the cuts on my dogs face I cancelled our trip all together and drove us back home. I took Lyric to the vet this morning who prescribed her with pain medicine and an ointment for me to place on her cuts. Lyric has not been her typical exuberant self since the incident and I know even with medicine her injuries will take weeks to heal. Not only did Antonio's actions bring harm to my dog and force me to cancel my entire trip, but then he offensively stated he expected me to give him $250 for the damages done to the bathroom door in his apartment. Not only was this demand morally offensive but an issue, according to the Rover Terms of Agreement and the customer service personell I spoke to, Antonio and Antonio alone are liable for. As I stated prior, Lyric's separation anxiety was communicated to Antonio directly both verbally and via my Rover profile. This entire experience was extremely disheartening. Lyric's injuries are made worse with me knowing they are due to a situation I placed her in. I have used Rover several times before this and had never had a negative experience. Antonio came across as a responsible boarder and I had never experienced an inept boarder via Rover prior to this. I write this review in hopes that you will not place your dog in the same hostile environment I placed mine in. Antonio is irresponsible, careless, and is not fit to be taking care of any animal.
