Pet care experience
Since a very young age i've always loved animals. Ive grown up with a variety of dog breeds ranging from Chow Chow to Chiweenie and all many mixes in between. I have 3 years experience working at a pet hospital which has broadened and strengthened my pet caretaker skills. My current veterinary experience allows me to care for pets with chronic medical conditions or special needs. I have cared for friend and family pets for extended periods of time in my own home, pet owner homes as well as professional boarding facilities.

I am new to the Portland area so I do not offer boarding at this time. However, wherever I will be pet sitting, I do my research on the neighborhood specifically looking for parks, trails, etc that any adventurous pet would love to see. For more homebodies and introverted pets I am keen to go slow and gentle when becoming aquainted. I give lots of space and time for your pet to decide if they would like to be friends. My strengths lie in caring for cats (Ive had my cat, Squeak for 17 years! ❤) and in dogs that are more shy or require more attention and loving reassurances. But all pets are welcome! Rest easy knowing that your pets will be in calm, patient, caring and understanding hands.

Please let me know if your dog has any chronic conditions or behavioral issues that will require special needs such as medications, physical therapy, leash/dog reactivivity, diet restrictions or specific meal time/bedtime/morning routines. My experience in the Vet medicine field provides me skills that enable me to accommodate most needs.
A typical day
We will go for walks to your local parks, trails, beaches etc. We will visit play games that stimulate mind as well as promote physical wellbeing and wind down at the end of the day in a cozy comfy spot with a before bed treat and soothing music. If your pets idea of a good time is curling up for a nap while we watch netflix or read I can and will happily accomodate!

Availability
My current schedule: I work Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays-10 hour days- but am able to come home for an hour lunch. Please let me know if your pets have strict feeding/walking schedules or are unable to be left alone for more than 4 hours so I can accommodate.
