Pet care experience
We were disappointed with options where we would be comfortable to leave our fur babies when we left town. Therefore we created what we would consider the perfect retreat for our dogs and yours. Every dog has their very own space which is approx 100 sq ft of indoor / outdoor space. Additionally they can share about a third acre of community space to run, being completely away from cars and noise pollution. We have been living and loving fur babies all our lives. We are semi-retired younger grandparents who are at home full time. We've had many furry ones we've taken care of.. from fresh new puppies thru adults needing extra attention. We live in an area that is rural residential but surrounded by farmland. Our home is the perfect retreat for dogs who like to be social and play as well as those who wish to have their own space. Since we are home full time we spend quite a bit of our day hanging out in our backyard playground with our dogs. Our brand new special kennel is more of a hotel with lots of amenities including ample airflow, dutch doors, turf, padded flooring, and lighting 24/7. We typically keep the doors open all the time so dogs can go in and out as they wish. (Check out our gallery for pics of the area and kennels.) We are able to keep dogs separated for those puppies that simply want to be left alone. We will have dogs of similar size and demeanor run together. If your dog is not social with other dogs we can accommodate and will take care of him/her individually. This way there will be no huge pups steamrolling the little ones in our yard. Our two personal dogs (Bentley and Winston) are very social and friendly and will enjoy hosting yours. When you need someone to watch your fur babies you'll be happy to know your pups are in great loving hands and having a ball while you're away. If you enjoy spoiling yourself by staying in a nice retreat while away then consider your pups just as lucky to stay at the Tri-State Boading Retreat. We are convieniently located close to Chattanooga, Alabama and Northwwest Georgia locations, sitting atop Sand Mountain.

By far the best experience I have ever had leaving my fur baby while on vacation! Kim and Anthony are amazing! The process was easy, drop off and pick up a breeze. They went above and beyond everyday sending me photos and updates. I can recommend them enough. Very special people providing the best customer service. Very blessed to have found them!
Our Tillie had another great time! Antohny and Kim make you feel like you are leaving your dog at their home not just boarding them. Tillie gives it 5 Milkbones!!!!

We have a fenced yard and lots of room to roam. Whether you wish us to watch an active puppy or an older or special needs dog, we have the right kennel retreat for you. Your pups will have their very own space to relax and we can accommodate any size crate you have if your pups prefer their own. We have a kennel with an easy up ramp and a bit more overall space for the dog that has trouble jumping or climbing and needs the space to stretch out. All pups will have the opportunity to run in the massive fenced yard, either in a group if they like that and are friendly . . . or completely by themselves if they are best that way. We'll treat your family pet as if they are our own.

Though not mandatory, we prefer meeting every pup and their owner prior to their first stay. All future visits could be booked same day if space is available. If we don't have the chance to meet up before your booking please tell us any important things about your pup such as mealtime, routines, toys, anything that helps your pup feel comfortable during their stay, etc. We prefer well behaved critters that do not jump fences but are able to accommodate almost any dog.
A typical day
We love to keep active dogs active. We will play in the big yard. Take walks. If your pet is social we will play with other friendly dogs. If your pet is a recluse they can relax in their own space.

Availability
We are retired and home most of the time. When we both leave we are typically gone for no more than three hours at a time. Your dog is free to roam in 100 sq ft of indoor / outdoor space at all times.
