Playful, tidy, and respectful!
Pet care experience
A favorite pet sitter for my former college professors and a new friend to every dog I meet on the street! I don’t have a dog of my own right now and until I do I am eager to spend some quality time with your pups. For the last several years I have been responsible for feeding, bathing, playing/walking, and cleaning up after the dogs of my friends, family, and have even been referred to friends of friends. I am gentle, playful, and engaging with your dog, and I will treat your home respectfully and with care.
Reviews
Annika was my go-to dog watcher when I lived downtown. I travel frequently for work, and I could always count on Annika to dog-sit for me, even overnight. My dog loved her, and I am sure yours will too!:)
I have known Annika for over 5 years. For 3 of those 5 years, she was my go-to pet sitter when I had to be away. My cats were always well cared for and they like Annika a lot. She has been around dogs her whole life, and she is a very responsible pet owner/caretaker. Aside from being knowledgeable about pets, she is a bright and reasonable person who exercises her best judgement regularly.
Annika did a great job watching my cat while I was on vacation. She sent me daily pics and updates which made it easy to relax because I knew he was in great hands. She is trustworthy and dependable and I always recommend her to my pet parent friends who need sitters!

I take extra care to monitor pets water and food intake, as well as well as potty breaks. I’ll be sure to send you any cute pictures I capture throughout the day too! If I am in your home I am respectful, tidy, and will be careful to put things back where I found them (leashes, toys, etc). I’m happy to follow any house rules you have, or do any additional chores you may need done (change litter, water plants, take out trash, etc.). Beginning in August I am looking for extended house sitting/ dog sitting jobs in Boston for reduced rates so book me before you take a vacation!
Information Annika N. would like to know about your pet
Please let me know of any favorite snacks, games, or toys that your dog enjoys. I love all dogs (big, small, young, old) and I’m happy to follow any special instructions you have for me!
A typical day
Every dog likes different games and activities. I take the time to engage your dog in a variety so that I can find their favorites. I usually start with a long walk with lots of stops for sniffing followed by a game of chase/tug/fetch to get the zoomies out. If you live near a dog park I’m happy to spend time there with a few toys. Next I make sure we hydrate and find some shade/AC to rest in.

Availability
I am taking the summer off work as I move from DC to Boston! I will be in DC until July 31 and Boston from August 1 onwards. I am free in the middle of the day and can be free evenings/overnights for walks or dog sitting. My building doesn’t allow pets so I am not able to board/daycare.
