Pet care experience
I know it’s so cliché to say something like “I’ve always loved dogs since I was a small child,” but it’s so true, and well, I guess that makes me a cliché. I don’t know why, but dogs have always loved me from the moment we meet––I’ve joked to friends that I feel like it’s my secret superpower. I wish my real superpower was to have our beloved pets live forever. I had two amazing and adoring dogs in my life until one recently passed away from cancer this past year. My other pup and I are still heartbroken, but we would love nothing more than to have some additional company, especially the furry, four-legged kind! I’ve volunteered with the local humane society since adopting our first family dog from their organization and now that I’m a bit older, I’d love to pursue fostering. I’d love nothing more than to have a bunch of cute, happy dogs around me. I’m one of those people who derive joy and pleasure from being around animals. I also love cats, turtles, frogs, and almost all reptiles! I had frogs, geckos, and turtles growing up before I had a dog, and I’ve cared for neighborhood cats many times! I like people too, of course, but you know what I mean. I’m very easygoing and I absolutely love the outdoors! I adore all breeds and sizes. My favorite thing about dogs is how much unconditional love they are able to provide to everyone around them. I really enjoy being a pet sitter because I want to be able to give unconditional love back to our furry friends. I know a lot of pet owners love their dogs like I do, but can't always be there for them, so I hope to be the best substitute for part of or all day! You’ll know that your beloved pup is in very capable and compassionate hands

I like to be super communicative with my clients! I respond quickly and give prompt and thorough updates during all communications via texts, calls, photos and/or videos. I actually love photographing dogs, so I’d love to send you updates. For any pup under my care, their health, safety, and happiness are my utmost priority. I love going on long walks and giving awesome belly rubs! With meet and greets, I like to meet in a park before going back to the home so we can be outside and with my other dog, so introductions will be fun. Maybe our pups can play while you and I discuss any restrictions or special needs. For example, I love doling out tasty doggy treats, but I also want to be careful and respectful of your pup’s diet and general well-being. I really enjoy meeting new dogs and their human counterparts, so I look forward to our new dog-care friendship.
A typical day
I love dog parks, and my favorite spot is the small dog run in Downtown NYC. Let me know what your pup’s routine is and we’ll go all around the city. I do feel like it’s super important for our pups to get some nice off-leash time, so dog parks are a fixture of my doggy care routine. I usually have to go to class in the morning, so I’d be gone for a handful of hours Monday-Thursday. I’d let our pups out for a quick morning relief session and get their breakfasts all sorted before going to class. By early afternoon, I’ll be back to take your pup out for a long, leisurely stroll and/or run. We will play fetch or your pup can meet and play with other furry friends at the dog park of your choosing. I really hate leaving my pup cooped up in the apartment, so I like to spend a good amount of time outside. After a fun outing, we’d come back home and our pups could nap or cuddle up with me on the couch while I do my homework or watch movies together. Because I’m a serious student, I’m mostly a homebody these days, but I love to get exercise with my dog, and like to go hiking with them on the weekends. After some cuddle time, I’d take our pups out for a final bathroom session before snuggling up for bed.
