Pet care experience
I have experience with many different kinds of dogs and cats. I’ve had a love of animals since I was little and have cared for many pets over the years - my own and others’ pets - walking, feeding, bathing, grooming and providing them with a lot of love and attention. I don’t currently have any pets so I have a lot of love to give yours! I will always make sure your pet is safe and happy. Your pet will be in great hands and will never be lonely. I find great joy in making a pet happy, content and comfortable. I have a lovely pet-friendly home and a fenced back garden and many parks nearby for long walks that pets love. For regular walks, when first arriving at your home, I would observe your pet’s behaviour and response to my arrival and act accordingly. I’m more than happy to take care of whatever needs your pet has.

Bonzo spent 2 very happy weeks being looked after by Annie. She took good care of him and sent us daily pictures of him on his walks, playing with the other dogs in her care. Hopefully Annie will be available to look after Bonzo on our next holiday. So thanks Annie for everything. I think Bonzo's still missing you!
Can’t thank Annie enough for looking after Kariba for 11 days. He’s an energetic dog , was away for that long outside the family for the first time and they both did great. Annie took time to understand his personality and habits before the booking and whilst his first few days with her were unsettling, she was very patient and kind and kept me up to date with the transition. Lots of pictures and updates were shared and I could see how much fun he was having with walks and play with other dogs. He came back still the same naughty silly self. Annie doesn’t fix that folks, we blame ourselves for that! By the way it was my first time too using river.com and a sitter and definitely trust Annie with Kariba and would highly recommend her for your pets.
I can not recommend Annie enough! It was the first time we have used a dog sitter and she is fantastic. She is so warm and kind and really looked after our dog Monty. She sent photos everyday we were away. A lovely lady, a a true natural with dogs. We would wholeheartedly recommend her
Annie is just brilliant- from his first meeting Otis just loved her. It was our first time of leaving him for a holiday stay and Annie really put our minds at rest. She asked for all types of helpful information to help look after Otis and even gave us a packing list- just so helpful. The updates and photos that Annie gave us were so helpful- Otis looked like he was having a great time on his holiday too- which meant we could relax and enjoy ours! I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Annie she is definitely A++

Prior to a pet’s arrival for boarding, I ask the owner questions regarding what their pet is accustomed to at home and do my best to accommodate and create those conditions as far as possible in my own home. I create a safe environment and remove any potential hazards and things I know the pet may swallow or chew. I follow any instructions provided. I make sure to have emergency contact and vet details in case of an emergency and learn more about their night-time habits. We would also arrange which items you will be dropping off with your pet, eg. their favourite toys, bowls, etc. At home, I make sure I keep up with your pet’s hygiene needs, that they always have water available, that I give them the food you usually give them, and not leave them alone longer than they are used to. I will always provide updates and photos. To care for a pet in your home, I would do as above and make sure that I follow your precise instructions on how you would like me to interact in your home. Trust is a major factor in finding a good pet sitter to stay in your home. I put the same dedication and attention into caring for your home as I do in caring for your pet, treating them as if they were my own, and ensuring your home stays clean, tidy and well cared for.

Race, size, medication, food, personality and preferences. If your pet has special needs or known behaviours please let me know, for example, if they are frightened by hoovers, thunder or lightning, protect their food, growl/hiss when touched on certain parts of their body, bark at big dogs, have a cue for when they need to go outside when potty-trained, have a schedule for food and activities, a special toy, what snacks they are allowed and things to avoid, if they don’t like places with many other dogs, how your daily feed works and how to offer it, etc. These things can often be overlooked but are important to know for quality of care, especially when caring for your pet for several days. I am happy to accommodate anything at all that is important, it’s just essential that I know what is necessary and as far as possible ahead of time.
A typical day
We’ll do some fun activities and play a bunch of games, go for lovely walks so they can check out all the new smells in the neighbourhood and explore the parks and woods nearby.

I work from home part-time and have a flexible schedule, which allows me to arrange my work around your pet’s needs and spend plenty of time caring for your pet. I am available for boarding, house sitting, visits, walks and other types of care.
