Animal Lover w/ Years of Experience
Pet care experience
I'm a complete animal lover! I have pet sat for numerous years now.. from chickens to fish to dogs and horses! During college, I was a volunteer and foster parent for the Central PA Humane Society. I fostered dogs and baby kittens mostly. After college, I started my own non-profit cat rescue, Eliannie Animal Rescue. In my home, I have 5 cats and 2 dogs. All my pets are multi-animal friendly - they love everyone! If you pets feel the same way, I welcome them into my home for doggy daycare or overnight boarding. I believe daily walks with pets are very important and you will often find me taking my cats out in their stroller for a walk. I know it can be hard to trust someone with your babies, I struggle with it also, but I hope you are able to trust me to be your pet sitter! Hope to see you and the furry friends soon! If you are not comfortable with me having a foster dog with your dog, I do recommend finding another sitter. I often have a friendly foster dog along with my animals. All fosters are vetted. Pet sitting and being the President of my animal rescue are my full time jobs. Animals are my passion! I am also able to overnight board week or weekend. Safety is my top priority with your pets and mine! I have a fenced in back yard and we only enter the back door to be safe. My fiancé and I (both live at the home) are experienced with "flight risk" animals. While none of my animals have any previous history of hurting any person or animal, ACCIDENTS DO HAPPEN. Dogs play with each other and may accidentally use its teeth too much. I do everything in my power to prevent any accidents.
Reviews
My experience with Annie was not ideal. We hired her to board our dog. She (Annie) was friendly and professional, however... my dog was not an ideal candidate for her home. My dog is used to being an 'only' dog and receiving a fair amount of attention (this is on her/me). However, we did a meet and greet and met 2 of the dogs who live at the home. That went well, but when we dropped off our pet, there was a new, high energy dog. That coupled with separation anxiety was not a good mix for our dog. Halfway through her stay we had to have family pick her up and care for her instead. This created a burden we were trying to avoid. I would have liked more communication from Annie, I had to check in after not hearing from her for the first 24 hours and at that time, I was told everything was fine. The next communication I received was that all was not fine, nearly another 24 hours later. I believe Annie is a great pet owner and sitter, but not a good fit for all pets. It was a lesson learned for me and will definitely take what I learned into consideration in the future by either having my dog board as the single dog or have someone come to our home. When booking with Annie take in to consideration that there will be other pets and your dog my be separated from them and the people to 'keep the peace'.
A big thank you to Annie. This was Tucker's first extended stay away from home and I believe he loved it. Thank you Annie for making your home his home.
Very comforting to know our pet is in such loving, knowledgeable, and experienced hands.
Annie took very good care of Mitsy. She is such a very polite person who just loves animals. Mitsy loved Annie (Mitsy told us)! Very prompt and thorough! We highly recommend Annie!

Information Annie R. would like to know about your pet
I like to know as much as I can about any pet before I take them on to pet sit. Your pets are your babies and need just as much care and attention. Knowing what they like, dislike, favorite toys, treats, etc. are great things to start with, along with normal potty times, and how they act when they meet new people.
A typical day
Going on walks, playing fetch, going on car rides (if they like that). We also love a good lazy pup. You want to hang out on the couch and watch TV? Sure, let's do it!
