Pet care experience
I grew up in Palo Alto, which is in the San Francisco Bay Area, volunteering at a local no-kill shelter called Pets Unlimited. I primarily walked dogs during weekend and weekday afternoons and played with new dogs to help them assimilate to the new environment (most dogs were transferred from over-worked shelters). In college, I dog-sat for a professor and stayed at their house to care for their three small dogs a few times a month. We would hire Annie any time we need a dog sitter. She was great with Chai, sent us a summary each day of what Chai did along with pictures. Being first time dog owners, she also shared her experience and knowledge with us. Thanks Annie.
Wylie has stayed with Annie twice now and both times were great! Annie is flexible and sends cute pics and updates throughout the day! When I dropped Wylie off today he started up the stairs without a glance back. He is always content and happy to chill with Annie.
Annie is fantastic! Kind, accommodating, and so wonderful with our dog, Brody. He pulls when we are several blocks from her place and goes crazy when he sees her! We have used her many times and will continue to. She sends a lot of pictures and updates; it’s so great to see how well cared for your pup is!
Annie is so incredibly kind and understanding! For some reason my little diva thought it was totally fine to poop all over Annie's apartment. I don't know why she decided to do this since she doesn't do it in our apartment anymore nor at our other dog sitter's place. Annie was more understanding that I thought a human could ever be. We both decided that it was best for my pup to stay at the other dog sitter's place. She contacted Rover and I got a refund for the days we didn't use. I offered to pay for her to get her carpet cleaned, but she declined. Other than that, she kept me incredibly updated throughout the day. I received multiple pictures and knew that my dog was in good hands. I would love it if I could use Annie again, but unfortunately my little poop monster had other plans!

I love dogs of all breeds and sizes! That being said, I need to know how the dog gets along with cats, and I like to introduce the dog to my cat before committing to a stay.
A typical day
If I'm boarding a dog, I like to take him or her to Prospect Park if he or she likes longer walks, as well as walks down 6th Avenue. If I'm walking a dog on a regular basis I'll work around his or her neighborhood, and base the length of the walks on the dog's personality and needs. I'm happy to go on runs with dogs, hour long walks, super short walks (for some puppies and seniors), and walk your dog with or without others depending on your preferences! I'm also happy to work on behavior with a dog, helping your dog learn to shake or behave more obediently on walks.
