Pet care experience
Tears of joy at the opportunity to get to know a new animal friend pretty much sums me up. From quirky food habits & supplements, to fresh water, to walks, to litter box cleaning, to individualized playtime & care, I’m meticulous with instructions and take pride in being someone your pet is excited to see. Whether with my childhood dog, Bailey (a loyal, confident, little scruff-monster Cairn Terrier), all the pets of friends and family over the years (I’m talking horses and guinea pigs alike), or Nona (my beloved and chatty little senior lady poof-of-a-cat with kidney disease who walked across a parking lot and parked herself right next to my car), my purest, most fulfilling pleasure in life has always been caring for animals. Only ask me about Alfred, the gentleman FIV cat who turned up in my New York apartment building’s alley, for example, if you are prepared for a lengthy, bittersweet tale of gradually building our bond in that alley, bit-by-bit, and culminating in a 13-hour road trip to where he could live out the rest of his beautiful days cherished and wrapped in the warm blanket of love and doting care that his pure heart deserved. Seriously, it’s a doozy of story (so perhaps spare yourself, actually), but Alfred remains one of the greatest gifts of my life. Point being, I am always honored to be chosen and to have the opportunity to earn every animal’s trust.

Annie is literally the best pet care provider I have ever used! She nursed my sick kitten while I was at work which required meds, feedings and extra tlc for two weeks. She had also cared for my two special needs pups which is a full time job! She is so loving and compassionate the animals are drawn to her immediately and I know that she is amazingly dedicated and will follow whatever instructions I leave. I don’t leave my fur babies with anyone else!!

A typical day
**DOGS** (Scroll down for our feline friends:)) FOR THE ENERGETIC TYPES: Depending on where you live, we could frequent your dog's favorite park (I live nearby Flat Fork, for example, and we could have a great time there) or take some quality laps in your own neighborhood. If you dog is already accustomed to running alongside his/her human(s), I also enjoy jogging. So if your dog has that higher energy or a sense of adventure, I could be just the ticket!;) I also played competitive fast-pitch softball for a number of years, so if a good game of fetch is your dog's dream, that can most certainly be accommodated! FOR THE DOG THAT NEEDS SOME STRUCTURE: If you and your dog are working on any training together, I will gladly take up the mantle with reinforcement (and consistency) at your instruction. FOR THOSE THAT KNOW HOW TO RELAX: If, however, your dog (or cat) prefers snuggles on the couch and/or gazing lovingly and languidly into each others' eyes, I'm also 100% game for that! **CATS** FOR THE CAT WHO LIKES TO GET IN TOUCH WITH HIS/HER ANCESTORS: I pride myself on finding each cat's play preferences. The hunt, kill, eat, groom, sleep instinct is very real! Whether it's a wand toy, fuzzy mice, a bell ball, or otherwise, I look forward to seeing what makes your cat tick.:) FOR THE CAT WHO LIKES TO WALK ON THE WILD SIDE: If your cat is already comfortable walking with a harness & leash, I'm no stranger to kitty walks! FOR THE SERIAL SNUGGLER: Gentle snuggles combined with loving slow blinks are how I spend most of my evenings at home with my senior kitty, so if your cat prefers a love fest to a play fest (or some combination thereof), I look forward to it!

My other work is part-time, local, and quite flexible in nature, so you can rest assured that I will be there for your pet when I say I will, and they will get the time and attention they deserve.:) I generally schedule walks & drop-in visits between the hours of 10am-6pm, but feel free to reach out with details on your specific situation.:)
