Animals make our lives better!
Pet care experience
I worked seasonally for 4 years at a doggy daycare in Georgia before moving up here to get my Master's at FDU! I have experience with puppies (no younger than 4 months old), seniors, dogs with behavioral issues (e.g., resource guarding, dog-reactive, fence aggression). Our dog at home was dog-reactive, so I've been around quirky animals for a long time. If you need someone to check in on your reptile, rodent, or amphibian, feel free to message me! I have a 2-year old leopard gecko and I've taken care of other people's rodents and frogs in the past. Growing up, we always had animals in the home - one dog and two cats. I rode horses for about six years when I was younger and currently I'm the proud parent of one leopard gecko!
Reviews
Annie provided excellent care for my three cats, even cleaning up after one of their 'adventures'. The pictures from each visit show how comfortable the cats were, too!
Annie is awesome!! Our two 16-year kitties stayed with her for 5 days and they were made to feel completely at home :) They enjoyed lots of love and attention, we got updates and pictures, communication was excellent, drop off and pick up was easy...we highly recommend!! We would definitely love to have Annie watch our kitties again!!!
Annie Feldman was our Go-To pet sitter for about 7 years, from the time she was in middle-school up until she went away to college. We had a chow-husky mix dog who was very sweet but aggressive to other dogs which made walking her a challenge. Annie was a very dependable , competent and trustworthy pet sitter. She handled Lucy gently, but firmly, and didn't have any issues with Lucy lunging at other dogs while on a walk. We were very confident in her abilities to take care of Lucy. She would give us daily updates while we were travelling. Annie did such a great job with Lucy, other neighbors would hire her to watch their dogs, too. I know of at least 6 other families in the neighborhood that would hire Annie to watch their dogs.

I live right across the street from a kid and dog-friendly park. Several parks are within a 10-20 minute driving radius from my apartment, and Borg's Wood Nature Preserve is a 15 minute drive away. I don't have a fenced-in yard, but I have a small backyard for quick potty breaks.

Information Annie F. would like to know about your pet
No one is perfect - that goes for people and animals alike! For the safety of both myself and your pet, there are a few things I need to know. I would need know any relevant medical information about your pet. I'd need to know what medication(s) your pet takes (and how it's administered), if they have a history of any serious conditions (e.g., seizures, diabetes, etc.), and if they have any dietary restrictions. If your pet has any behavioral issues (present or past), let me know. I would like to know everything from the smallest quirk ("My dog doesn't like her feet being touched") to a behavior that could be dangerous for me if I don't know about it (e.g., resource guarding, dog-reactive, human-reactive, fence aggression, etc.). Thank you in advance!
A typical day
It depends on the pet! Just like people, every pet is different. For energetic dogs, I'll play with them, walk them, and try to find ways to increase mental stimulation. Some dogs like to learn tricks or find treats in puzzle toys - other dogs might like playing hide and seek. For dogs that prefer to stay sedentary or be by themselves, that's okay too! Some dogs prefer a life of leisure. The same goes for cats. Cats that would like to play will gladly be played with! If your cat's most exciting activity is sitting on a person's lap and staring at them, that's no problem either.

I'm currently looking for part time work to support myself as I take remote cybersecurity classes three nights per week. This means that I have free time during the day to attend to your kiddo's needs - bathroom breaks, playtime, cuddles, pep talks, and more!
