Any dog that I care for needs to be up to date on shots and should have a bortedella shot (kennel cough). A dog must be free from fleas or mange or any other contagious issue. I have never administered an injected medication but if shown how to do it I will do it. I have never cared for a special needs dog other than deaf and blind but I would certainly consider caring for a dog with other needs. For any stay that exceeds the 24 hour period I will charge an additional $20 after 27 hours. For example: if you drop off your pet at 8 am on Monday and do not pick up your pet until 1 pm Sunday, I will charge an additional $20 because it has been over 27 hours. I give a three hour grace period.

I have a very large fenced in back yard where dogs can roam and run freely. We often play outside with the dogs or if requested go on walks. We have a very large preserve near our house where dogs can walk on leash. I only take dogs up there if they are on any type of tic/flea prevention as there are numerous tics. The dogs are free to roam the house while I am home. I will occasionally crate a new dog if I have to go out on an errand or two. I feel it is safer for the new dog while I am briefly away.
