Experienced dog 'auntie'! 🐾

Pet care experience

From a very young age, animals always fascinated me and naturally, due to my passion for them, I always had a special connection with them compared to most family and friends around me. So, I’ve made my passion for helping animals into a full time profession, where I currently work at a nonprofit animal protection organization. Previously, I have about 8 years of professional veterinary experience - I worked at a family veterinary general clinic, as well as an emergency and specialty animal hospital where I worked in both emergency and internal medicine departments. I have basic knowledge in the sorts of injury or illnesses to look out for, as well as bathing and clipping nails. I also have experience in some crate and potty training. And of course, I can administer medications in various forms including tablets, capsules, chewables, topicals, drops, and injections. My personal animal care experience includes 15+ years of raising and caring for my own pup who, sadly, just recently passed away. Though my heart aches from his passing, there is no amount of love, care and cuddles that I can’t give to an animal, so it would be an absolute pleasure to provide my services to you and your pup. I also previously had small animal companions growing up including hamsters, rats, and birds. Currently, we have a chinchilla named Squee whom we adore. I understand that coming to stay in a new home with new people, surroundings, smells, sights, etc. can be overwhelming, so I ensure each dog in my care receive safety, comfort, structure/routine, and love ❤️ DOG DAYCARE, PLEASE NOTE: My daycare rates are for drop-off/pickup at my residence. I can be available for drop-off only for an additional rate depending on my availability of your preferred drop-off time. DOG BOARDING, PLEASE NOTE: Crate trained highly preferred please! As mentioned, we have a chinchilla, Squee, who is part of our household and is afraid of bigger animals. So purely for safety reasons, it would be best if your pup sleeps in their crate to prevent exploring in the middle of the night and accidentally scaring our chinchilla. I want to keep both of our animals safe!

Annie watched my dog while I was out of town. She was super thorough and thoughtful. You could really tell she loved my dog just as if he was her own.

Due to my apartment complex weight restrictions and not having a private fenced yard, I can only take in dogs that are <35 lbs. I do have a fenced balcony for some quick fresh air, or a nice sunny nap outside! There’s plenty of grass areas and a dog park in my complex for walks and playtime sessions.
