Pet care experience
Life can be hectic and the last thing you need is to worry about your pet's needs while you're grinding through a jam-packed day. I get it; I've been there. I also know there's nothing like the peace of mind of knowing you have someone on your team who you trust to treat your pet as the little princes/princesses they are. My name is Annick (ah-neek) and I have experience with pets of all sizes and at all life stages. I'm familiar and comfortable with the challenges of puppies, seniors, quirky personalities, and furbabies with special care needs. My pet care skills leveled up when my sweet pup Milou was diagnosed with diabetes and heart failure. It was a 5-year journey of managing medications and injections until he passed away in December 2020. Exactly one year later, a puppy named Maisie found her way into my life. I'd never raised a puppy before, and this past year with her has been a crazy, amazing adventure. Maisie shares my lap (but not her bones) with her fur brother Charlie - who just turned 15. It was always very difficult to find help with Milou's needs and I said to myself that one day I'd help others in similar situations. That day has come and I'd be delighted to meet you and your furbabies and see how I can help you!

Annick is compassionate and attentive to pets. She has watched my dog, Charlie, and always ensures he has the best care. What I like about her work is that she promptly checks Charlie for any health problems and reports them to me. She loves animals, teaches dogs new tricks, and reinforces the old ones. I never worry about Charlie when Annick is his caregiver because she will treat him with respect and reasonable care and ensure his needs are met.
Annick is wonderful with dogs! She grew up with dogs and always took care of them. She is responsible and trustworthy. I know she will do a good job for you!
There are very few people I would trust to petsit, but Annick is completely trustworthy and a true lover of animals that I have zero worries leaving my dog, Frankie, in her care. My dog must also sense what a good person Annick is because Frankie gets so excited to see her and is content curling up next to her when she gets tuckered out. I have peace of mind knowing Annick has her own pets that are well loved and well taken care of — she has encountered a lot of different situations throughout her pet ownership that she really understands the needs of my dog too. Anyone who trusts Annick to watch their pets will quickly know exactly what I mean.

Comfort and happiness are second, so I also want to make sure I'm clear on your needs and expectations, as well as your pet's personality quirks, habits/routines, and trained commands so I can provide consistency and reinforcement in their care in their home environment.

A typical day
I like to go for two different types of walks: one is more purposeful and direct to let the pups get some physical energy out. The other is a sniffari - a slower-paced wander where the dogs lead the way with their noses; within reason, and avoiding potential hazards. This lets provides stimulation of one of their strongest senses to tire them out mentally. I enjoy fetch about as much as they do, and I love playing hide and seek using toys and treats for them to sniff out. Kongs and broth pupscicles also provide some entertainment and help calm or settle dogs down.

Availability
I'm available for home drop-ins Monday-Friday 9AM-7PM. At the moment, I work from home with a flexible schedule, so I have plenty of time to spend with your pets. I also understand last-minute things come up, so I will try to be accommodating.
