Pet care experience
I’ve been lucky enough to spend most of my life with dogs and cats of all types. I’m comfortable with puppies, kittens, seniors, varying temperaments/behaviours, and most everything in between. I’ve been passionate to complete CCPTD approved courses on things like: stress levels in dogs/cats and positively impacting them, various leash techniques, and separation anxiety. I also regularly volunteer at two of the local animal shelters which has really helped me to learn with a wide variety of different animals. :-)

I currently can’t have any animals in my home but no matter where I am, I treat animals as if they are my own. I grew up with a more aggressive dog which taught me so much about boundaries, patience, and how my behaviours influence their well-being. I’ve since spent time with some friendlier dogs but I keep with me a lot of the same principles. I’m calm in my approach, I set realistic expectations, I don’t rush and I prioritize consistency.

A typical day
It’s really important to me that dogs are comfortable on walks. I can stick to a particular route if that feels safe for your pet and you. If you’re comfortable and your pet may benefit from variety, we can try different routes for more stimulation. I’ll always start with the safest and most controlled environment for our walks.
