Pet care experience
When I was 16 I started a local daycare on my family’s plot of land to care for peoples pets. I ended up caring for more than cats and dogs, I even cared for a baby goat and a rooster. I did it as a summer job while I was out of school and loved it. Now Im an adult who has 13 years of experience in rescuing and rehabilitating animals. And I have 5 pets of my own! I’ve also taken classes in veterinary science and animal behavior to make sure I’m keeping animals safe and making them comfortable. When my friends and family have a question or concern about their pet or an animal they met in need, they call me and ask for my help or advice because they know I’m compassionate with my care and thorough with my information when it comes to animals. And when I’m asked what my dream job is, I say “a well paid pet sitter.” Hang out with and give attention to cute animals all day? And get paid for it? Purrr-fect

Annette was awesome!!! She took my pup on a walk while I finished up some work & was such a big help for me! If I’m ever back in the area I will 100% be booking with Annette again! She sent pics during the walk so that I could see that my pup was doing well!
Annette is my go-to for all my pet questions. She always has an answer and keeps my pets best interest in mind. I can always count on Annette to love and care for my paw-babies as if they were her own.
She loves animals of all kinds. She helped me with taking care of a kitty I found who had mange and paid for the kittys vet visit since I couldn’t at the time. I still have him, I named him Little Lord and he’s doing great. He’s a happy boy. Annette has always loved animals, she even went vegan to save animals, donates to different places and people to help save and rescue animals and if you ask her for help she’s always willing to stop whatever she’s doing and help an animal in need, or just give them attention lol She’s the only person I know who goes into a petco for one thing and takes 20 minutes to do it because she just needs to say hello to every animal she sees in there to make sure they feel like they’re loved.

I would be near your pet the entire time, unless they’re more solo/timid/shy and prefer a more distanced kind of care where I’d just be in another room or at the kitchen island and check on them every often to say hello, offer a treat and make sure they are doing well. If they would like to play, I’d love to! I have many cat toys for cats and for dogs I’m an active person who gets at least 10K steps per day so we could go outside and play or we could even play inside. I can walk dogs multiple times per day, and enjoy going on walks so it works out for the both of us. If they’re feeling cuddly, I have a large couch with a washable pet cover over it, so they’re all allowed to lay down on the couch if they would like and get some pets, scratches, belly rubs, and lots of “you’re so cute” while we watch a movie or I do some work on my laptop. If they have any special needs, I can adhere to that too! I’d just need to know what they are, like for example if they need any medications. One of my pets has asthma so I have a kitty inhaler and another one of my cats takes heart medication, so I’m familiar with giving medicine to animals in a gentle way (covering the medicine with “Pill Pocket” treats or mixing it into wet food.)

A typical day
With animals I’m a match for, our day/time will depend on the pet. If they’re an energetic pet, then we will spend lots of time playing indoors if the owner prefers or if it’s raining, otherwise we will play outdoors, or both depending on the pets energy levels and the weather. I like grassy areas which my neighborhood community has lots of, and for cats I have cat toys and a 7 foot tall cat tree that they can play on and scratch to their hearts content or even sit with me near the balcony door and watch the birds fly by.

Availability
My availability is open, So your pet will have 100% of my attention and focus while in my care. Whether I’m pet sitting here in my home or in your home. If you have a shy pet or one who prefers solo time, I can set up a comfy little space for them to have that solo time or even just let them have space on the couch where they can lay while I do my work in the same room to keep an eye on them and make sure they don’t feel lonely. My daily routine, home life and work are flexible enough to fit different kinds of animal personalities and needs.
