Pet care experience
Hello! I am a high energy, experienced pet owner that wants to take her love of animals on the road. I have owned both dogs and cats, but have experience working with animals of all shapes and sizes including reptiles, rodents, birds, livestock, and even insects! I am very active, and hike often, so if your restless pet needs some playtime or a nice hour-long walk, I am happy to oblige.

Annalise stayed with our 3 dogs for about 4 weeks. They were well cared for, as was our home. We will definitely be calling on her again when we need.
Annelise is absolutely amazing! She took wonderful care of my two pups and entire house and garden while I was away. Both of my dogs are skittish, but Annelise helped them feel comfortable so quickly. She is also a great communicator!
Annelise is responsive and energetic; she is super caring with animals. She will make sure your pup or other pet has the best care! I let her watch my pup all the time and she always comes back the happiest. I’m sure your pets will have the same experience!

I can‘t currently take any boarding in my own home, but I am free to look after pets in their own! That could either mean dropping by enough to provide food, walks, and pets or house sitting, which also includes houseplant and garden care (both of which I am equally enthusiastic about).

All breeds are welcome, but I would like to know about their dietary needs and general disposition before we work together. For instance, shelter dogs often require a gentler handling and are more protective of their food.
A typical day
I am an avid hiker, and know many places in the area suitable for dogs of all sorts. Got a bulldog? A stroll along the C&O canal might be their speed. Australian cattle dog? The view from Annapolis Rocks is stunning.

Availability
My day job is sporadic, leaving me with lots of free time at various points in the day to drop by for a walk or visit. If you don’t mind working with me to create a custom schedule, I can even go multiple times a day. If your pet needs more consistent care, I am also comfortable with house sitting for however long you need.
