I have always worked with animals, I believe they are therapeutic and grew up around them-my grandmother's house was practically an ASPCA. I absolutely love being active and dog walking/running fits into that, so why not help a pup as well? I also adore cats, as I think they're very funny, and people underestimate how attached they can get to us. Based in Berkeley, I am happy to travel to pick up your furry friend :) I have a load of patience, and enjoy being silly with animals and playing games! Annelies was great with our two cats and they warmed to her very quickly! She provided updates and cute photos so we could feel connected to our cats while out of town. We could tell our two cats loved her company and it really helped them stay happy while we were gone. We’ve already booked Annelies twice and will continue to use her!!
Annelies is an amazing dog sitter! She was so friendly, respectful, loving to our dog, and understanding of his special needs. She stayed with him all day while he was recovering from surgery and easily gave him his pain meds. She even sent us photos and updates throughout the day. We would love to have her back!
Our dog loves her and so do we! She was always friendly and professional and was willing to work around our variable schedules. Cannot recommend enough!

I need to know if they have any fears or steady routines; I think that is very important so as not to disrupt their environment too much. I also would like to know their general demeanor and vaccination status before taking them to dog parks.
A typical day
I like to go out into the forest or out to the coast, but if its a short visit or dogsit, I like to go to bigger dog parks to get their energy out. If the petsit is not a dog, I cater to their needs- a cuddle on the couch or just hanging out together while I cook or bake actually is quite nice as well.

I work from home as a translator; I am happy to look after animals with my schedule. I generally wake up quite early so an early walk or check-in is easily doable!
