I am a veterinary technician with 10 years of experience caring for pets in boarding, general care and critical care settings. I graduated from St. Mary's College of Maryland with a Bachelor's Degree in Biology, and went on to work at Three Notch Veterinary Hospital for the next several years, where I assisted with general practice veterinary care and provided in-home care for clients who needed assistance medicating or caring for their pets at home. I have since moved on to emergency and critical care medicine, where I've developed a true passion for providing high-quality critical care and post-operative care to the pets under my care. I am finishing a Laboratory Technology degree with the plan to apply to Murdoch University in Western Australia to pursue a degree in veterinary medicine. I started my animal care career in high school by working in the busy boarding facility attached to my local veterinarian's office, where I learned the ins and outs of doggie day care and boarding. I became adept at spotting possible concerns in our boarders, as well as identifying those who might be stressed in the boarding facility and providing extra TLC and enrichment for those boarders. By entrusting me with your pet's care, you can rest assured that they will receive high-quality care and a trained eye to watch for any potential problems, especially for those special needs pets. I'm also happy to bring my fun-loving black lab around for some doggy play time for those pets who play well with others.
