My senior dog (16) Myles sustained an injury last week and was recovering slowly. I had to find a petsitter within a few days of a big work weekend. Annecy was exactly what I needed for Myles. He needed help to eat, drink and use the bathroom and they did so with gentleness, kindness, and care. They helped him take his medication and were patient with his side effects of anxiousness and frequent bathroom use ...

Annecy’s love for dogs knows no bounds! They will absolutely care for your pup. We left our four month old dog with Annecy for ten days and we could tell when we got back that he had been in great, loving hands. Extremely dedicated and committed. We will be using Annecy’s services again for certain.

Full-time dog whisperer!!

Hi I'm Annecy, I'm 20 and I'm the kind of person who will go to parties just to spend the whole night cuddling and talking to all the pets in the house in a corner. When it comes to dogs, I'm as loyal as a golden retriever and as determined as a collie (cheesiness intended)! This is the best job in the world, and my goal as a dog caretaker is to ensure your dog ...

What Annecy would like to know about your dog

I love all dogs, all breeds, shapes and sizes! Some things that would be very helpful to know are if your dog is trained/knows any commands, how well they are with dogs/people and what their triggers are, if they can have treats and if so any specific kind, are okay to sit on furniture, if they’re potty trained, and what kind of activities they like to do.

When Annecy watches your pet

There is a dog park about a 10-15 minute walk from my apartment that is very secure and I’ve had wonderful experiences taking dogs to, although I’ll never go to one without permission from the owner and an idea of how long we should stay there. I also have a very nice backyard. It’s great for any dogs to hang out in with me if they’re calm and it’s just me and the dog, and it’s perfect for small dogs especially when other dogs are over so they can interact with each other - I live with three roommates who also dogsit and one has her own dog that visits every now and then and we often have friends over who take their dogs to our place. There’s also a lot of space and things around my apartment for dogs to explore. My bedroom is pretty big and currently has a big space so when we’re hanging in there the dog has plenty of room to play around in. I keep dog toys around too so we can play fetch or tug of war in my room. As long as it’s okay with the owner (and my roommates), my dogs have the freedom to hang out on our couches and in our chairs. They’re always allowed in my bed to hang out or sleep. I’ve had some very snuggly dogs over that love it. The most difficult part of my job is having to take the dogs home because I always form such a sweet bond with them! Picking up poop is nothing compared to having to say goodbye, but I always come out fine! I rarely leave dogs alone when they’re in my care and when we are not playing or walking I’m giving them an endless supply of pets and attention! I pay super close attention to the dogs to make sure every need is fulfilled and that they’re are happy. One time when I dropped a dog off with his owner he looked at me so visibly sad and confused and wouldn’t go inside and his owner pointed out how upset he looked!!! I really strive to develop strong bonds with every dog I meet because I want them to feel safe with me and see me as a friend to them :)
