Animal lovers are a special breed ... you intuitively know them when you meet them. You will know that we are ‘those people’ when we meet. We look forward to meeting you and building a trusting relationship as we care for your pet! Your pet(s) will receive the same loving care and consideration that we give our own pets. We have a fully fenced, dog-friendly yard, secure enough to keep in even tiny toy breeds. We continually check the perimeter to make sure there are no gaps or voids where they can get out. Our little four-legged guests have the freedom of being inside or outside in a large 1/2 acre lakefront backyard or smaller front yard. All gates are padlocked at all times! Your pets are kept very safe! When out on the lake-side part of the property we are always outside with them. We “sit” for our daughter’s pets, former and current neighbor’s pets and friend's pets. We receive new referrals from our groomer, our Vet, other clients, our neighbors, family members, and friends and have repeat clients from as far away as Leavenworth! Our pets and all of our client’s pets are current with; vaccinations and flea/tick control. We are retired and with the dogs at all times. If you’d like, we can text you pictures and updates during their stay! We promise to love and spoil your little one(s) while you are away! We’ve shared our own lives with many dogs spanning many years, everything from an Afghan Hound, A Great Dane and a German Shepard, to a Schipperke, several Yorkies and Scotties, the most recent being a Brussels Griffin, and two Scottie rescues! We have also had the pleasure of sharing life with many other pets over the years including; cats, fish, hamsters, iguanas, birds and horses and love all creatures, great and small! Meet our pets: the Scottie lasses; Lily is somewhat shy and Dixie is somewhat bossy! Both are harmless girls with big voices :O! In the past few years we lost part of ourselves with the passing of our dear wee Yorkshire fur-baby, Fiona, then our very good Scottie boy, Buddy, and in Spring 2019, our precious Brussels Griffon, Buttercup 😔. We wish they came with expiration dates as it’s always shocking how short their little lives seem to be. ♥️ About our yard: The front and back yards are fully fenced, with 1/2 acre of gently sloping grassy landscape. The property is just shy a 1/2 acre. The dogs we watch love the freedom they have to run and roam or just watch birds and ducks from the deck or the dock. Our experience administering medication: We have given our animals many meds over the years. If allowed a little piece of cheese helps the medicine go down a lot easier, or pill-pocket treats if allowed.
