Run, walk, play, pet, or chill!

Pet care experience

I am very passionate about dogs! I grew up having dogs around me my whole life and have helped to train many of my family's dogs. I have also worked as a professional dog handler at a boarding facilitiy. Unfortunately, my apartment doesn't allow pets, so I am hoping to fill that dog-shaped gap in my life through sitting and walking with Rover. I have plenty of experience handling dogs of all sizes, from newborn puppies to 100 pound balls of energy. I am an active person and can take your dogs for runs or longer walks, but I am also happy watching older or more laid-back dogs that need a chiller setting.

Anne was wonderful! She took extra time and come meet Shadow and myself before his stay. She braved the rain over the weekend to adventure with this active pup! She will be my go to in the future!

Annie is great with dogs and a very responsible, well-organized individual. When I first got my puppy, Annie stayed home with her at nine weeks old at gave her the constant supervision she needed. My puppy is now 6 months old, and I am completely comfortable leaving her in Annie's care. She also has plenty of experience with our family's dogs (including caring for our childhood dog in his old age), and loves spending time with them. She is active and will be happy to give your dogs plenty of exercise or outdoors time. I would highly recommend Annie to watch or walk your dog of any age, breed, or size.

Safety, trust & environment

Safety and comfort is my number one priority. I understand the importance of a dog being comfortable in its territory. Since I am unable to board at my own home, I focus on making sure that I respect a dog's safe space when I enter its home. Some dogs are not as open as others, and I recognize the importance of understanding that. Communicating with the owner is vital in understanding any boundaries their dog may have.

Information Anne B. would like to know about your pet

Before sitting or walking any dogs, I would like to know how they are around dogs, other animals, people, bicyclists, etc. Knowing how well they respond to commands and how obedient they are on leash is key. It would also be pertinent for me to know if they have any special needs, medical concerns, or physical limitations.

A typical day

I love spending time in nature, so I'm happy to bring dogs for walks in the local parks, like Cornwall or Squalicum. If a dog is up for a bigger day, I love hiking in the Chuckanuts or out east towards Baker.

I do fieldwork which means my schedule is weather dependent. If you're looking for someone last minute to check in on your pup or take them for a walk or run to spend some energy, I'm your gal! I'm also more likely to be available in the early morning or later evening.
