Dogs deserve vacations too!
Pet care experience
Hey Puppy Parents! I'm Annastasia and I've been around and caring for dogs my entire life. Mostly large breeds but I also have experience with extra large dogs thanks to my lovely sister and her two rambunctious loving rottweilers. I have previous dog sitting experience both for family and clients when Rover was still DoggieVacay when I was living in California. It's been a while but now I'm in an even better position to pamper your pups. I live on a five acre property with my two dogs, two horses, and three llamas. The property itself sits in the hillsides rising off the hood canal. We have two large open clearings and tons of woods going back up the hillsides. We call it the enchanted forest. The first clearing holds our little cabin and the sleeping quarters for all the outdoor animals. The second clearing has an electric fence and gate set up at a voltage appropriate for rabbits through horses. Just to clarify I never leave the dogs unattended while in the run. The fence is meant to be a firm deterrent from running off to play in the woods during supervised off leash play time. This is the fence I trust to keep my own dogs contained and safe. Aside from the direct property I have access to two private beaches on the hood canal, both within walking distance as well as another a miles walk up the road. There are also lots of trails around the area that my dogs love exploring with me. When your dogs are in my care you can expect that I will treat them like my full time job. I have no other commitments or places to be and will be available to them 24/7. This means plenty of walks, time outside, playtime with other well behaved dogs, and some training sessions if they need help with that kind of thing. So, now a little bit more about my family of animals here. To start I'll introduce the dogs. Cosmos is an 8 month old husky/malamute mix. Hes big for his age but generally is a well behaved little gentleman. He has experience not only playing with his housemate Ayla, our other dog but with other dogs at the dog park. He is curious and buoyant with new dogs with the preference of being submissive if he thinks there's going to be any issues. Ayla is a seven year old husky/german shepard mix. Shes a quiet shy girl but once she warms up to you is extremely affectionate and playful. This goes for humans and dogs alike. Our two horses Chilie and Thirteen are both quite old, and are retired to our property. They are both extremely good around all sorts of animals and are very affectionate towards our dogs. This said we still don't run the dogs and the horses at the same time. Meet and greets at the gate are great desensitization for dogs new to larger animals though. The same goes for interactions with the llamas. The three llamas living here are my beloved pets and guard system against larger predators we all hope to never see in our backyards but know do exist somewhere off in he forest. They are totally comfortable with dogs, even dogs that want to play chase. They move between the clearings with me depending on the day both for good company and a little extra security as they sound an alarm if they smell or see anything they feel is threatening. They're passive grazing animals so aside from morning and evening chores they don't require much attention. So that's us! and what to expect about the property and what kind of experience you're paying for. I'm also hooked up with boosted signal for the internet so I can send you as many cute photos of your pup having a vacation while you're on yours as your data plan can handle =]
