Organized Dog Lover

Pet care experience

Hello, I am Anna! I am an accredited dog trainer looking to assist you with your pups daily needs! A tired pup is a happy pup and a happy pup makes for a relaxed home. When getting my first dog it was always exhausting after coming home from a long day of work and then having to walk her. I always thought it be nice to come home to a tired dog. Even though a long walk it's not ideal for everyone's daily schedule I want to help you achieve your goals and help your pup burn out that energy. I can't wait to meet your pup! I have experience with both puppies and special needs dogs. As well as training in first aid, correct socailization, body language, medications, and elderly dogs. I always introduce new dogs on a structured walk during a meet and greet before agreeing to preform pack walks. 😁 When I say my day is all about dogs..... it really is and I love it. I am currently working full-time however, I work overnights. So my typical day begins with coming home at 6am, feeding my pets and myself, and then taking my pups for a walk. My walks are the same for all dogs I walk in order to meet both the physical and mental needs of the dog. I take the designated walking time frame and divide it in half. The first half focuses on mental enrichment. During this time the only expectation and boundary I place on the dog is maintaining a loose lead and a being non-reactive to other animals, vechiles, and people walking by. Beyond that they are able to walk in front of, beside, or behind me. If they pause to sniff, toilet, or explore a safe spot or item I allow this for up to a minute then encourage to move on. When we reach the half way point we switch into a more structured walk. During this time it is all about covering distance and working on basic obedience cues. For my dogs this half of the walk looks like, us walking in a heel on a loose lead, stopping at every corner and performing a 'sit, shake', 'focus, down', or 'puppy pushups' if we are on grass which is exactly as it sounds placing the dog into a sit cueing a down back into a sit then a down until rewarded and cued to resume their heel. If your pup does not know how to heel, sit, shake, or maintain a loose leash. . . That is okay! A walk is a great time to practice those basic obedience goals and exercises. After our walk we come home, hydrate and they get thier toys and such while I sleep for the first time from 8am till noon. From 1-1:30pm I set aside the time to do my second training session for the day with my own dogs where they get thier second meal for the day and address thier toileting needs. Depending on individual client circumstances and goals. I preform pack walks meaning, if appropriate I am able and willing to take a clients pets on the first walk of the day (6:30am-7:30am) with my own pets. I Will NOT walk multiple clients pets at the same time. If walking my own pets is not possible with yours or I already have an existing client in that spot the earliest available time for a walk is going to fall into that 2pm and 3pm walking slot. After the 2-3pm walk slot. I run my errands and return to my home by 4-5pm to take care of my own pets toileting needs and take them on thier second walk for the day and then sleep from 5PM-9PM. Followed by my work shift from 9:45PM-6AM. They get two meals a day one at 6am and one at 1pm. I introduce dogs during a controlled walk. Here we walk the dogs on an open and not busy road starting at opposite sides of the road and slowly moving toward the middle of the road. Through correction, redirection, and follow through. The dogs enjoy a walk together before being allowed to interact with one another off lead in a neutral space.

I was extremely pleased with the 8 days with 3 drop ins per day. Penny & Mr. Boots had the same disposition as when I left. The 8 days allowed me to drive to NH to surprise my son for his 50th b’day. Many thanks to Annastatia for her care of my dog & cat.

Excellent! Annastasia took great care of our dogs, brushing them out, taking them shopping, giving them treats, etc - over and above the necessary duties. She was flexible, easy to work with, and responded quickly. We will definitely use her again.

Annastasia was amazing with our pup and treated her like one of her own. We got numerous updates which put me at peace (our puppy was only 9 weeks old when she stayed with her). Would definitely recommend!!

Everyones goals for thier dog is different but, I am a firm believer that every dog regardless of age breed gender or size should be held to basic behavioral expectations of being non-reactive (over excitement, nervous, aggressive) to other animals people and vechiles passing by unless instructed otherwise by the handler. I am always willing to accommodate each families existing, individual goals and help work towards any new goals.
